Has anyone seen the Weather Channel lately? They are saying a nor'easter by tomorrow afternoon. I am not sure if I will be able to make it if it storms....:-(

Sadly, I just woke up this morning and found out we are having a blizzard warning for So. CT. We were going to drive to the faire and drive back that night so I can take care of our furry friends.
I'm not going to chance going now. I hope everyone who goes has a great time and takes lots of pictures to post.

I'm fairly sick at the thought, myself. This could, potentially, Suck Greatlysome.
Geoff, I don't see you on the vendor list. I don't see Emporer's Needle, either. Am I just missing something?

My first thought was, "But he doesn't know if he can stay over, and that's tonight, anyway...!" Snerk.
So where will the cake be? I'm, er...dying to try some! Muhahahahahahahaaaaa!

Grrrrr...also thinking now that I won't chance it. I don't like leaving my folks alone in this kind of storm, I have NO budget to stay over anywhere...and the forecast for Edison has it starting midday. <crap> I was *really* looking forward to seeing some friends and hearing some good music and doing a bit of shopping.

I, for one, am looking forward to seeing what it looks like when a snowball bounces off bodiced boobs. :-)
but yeah... I hope this doesn't fuck things up. ::tinfoil:

It is looking more and more like I won't be able to go tomorrow. This really bums me because I was looking forward to meeting new people and enjoying myself. :wah: And with an iffy transmition not to mention the 16-year-old nephew (who's safety I will be responsible for) I just don't think I can risk the trip. :-( I, too, have no budget for an over-night stay. *sigh*
Mistress Kath.... I see that you are from Sleepy Hollow. Have you ever heard of Gandalf Murphy and the Slambovian Circus of Dreams. They hail from your corner of the world.

Our group of 5 people is still planning on going. We just decided to take the 4wd suv rather than a more comfortable (and cheap) car. Luckilly we already have our hotel rooms booked so I am just worried about the trip home on Sunday.
I am really looking forward to meeting fellow wenches!

The most recent forecasts have the heaviest snow overnight Saturday, tapering off in the PA/NJ area to light snow and flurries by Sunday morning.
The two biggest concerns will probably end up being timely snow removal from the roads and for those who leave Sunday and have to travel *north* into NY, CT and MA -- there are blizzard warnings for those areas.
People should be able to get to the Faire without too much difficulty, especially if they plan on arriving before mid-day Saturday -- that's when the snowfall is supposed to start. I'm going to inquire about the possibility of staying a second night and do that if the roads are still horrible when we decide to head back to PA on Sunday.
I'm more concerned for those who might be going to the masquerade in Newark and driving back to hotels (or homes) late Saturday night/early Sunday morning. I wasn't planning on attending, but if I had been, *that* would be the event I'd skip.
