I use the term near *loosely*. I would love to meet up with some local peoples that could possibly guide me in my garb making for the coming season. Any and all help would be appreciated! Would love to network as well as I am very new to this and could use tips in many areas.

Thanks!

Hi KaLeaAnne!

I don't live in NH full time, but my parents do and I visit a few times a year. The rest of the time I live in MD. I'd love to be able to make plans to hang out with NH wenches when I visit, as my parents' house isn't very exciting.

I'm actually in state right now, and will be until the day after election day (gotta vote before I go back to MD).

My parents live in Rochester, but I am familiar with much of the lower 1/2 of the state as my parents grew up in Manchester and I lived in Lempster for 5 years. From Rochester, I can get to Manchester in about an hour, and points north of there (Concord and the lakes) aren't too far away either.

Oh, and I'm going to be making a visit to Keepsake Quilting (and more importantly, the KQ Yarn Store) on Friday afternoon. (http://keepsakequilting.com in case you didn't know.)

Anon,

Cordelya

Fabulous that you are visiting us! You are planning on attending NHRF (http://www.NHRenFaire.com) this weekend aren't you? My husband and I will be vending there and I know there will be other wenches there as well. You should most certainly come to the faire, and stop by the tent with the purple and yellow scallops, I would love to introduce you to people!
Next week my shop will be re-opening with regular hours (after I unpack it from the trailer LOL) but I would love to have you stop by for a visit if you had time. I am actually about 10-15 minutes north of Concord just off I89.

Pssst..... hey, Cap'n....... she's a Squire on the NER boards.

Sounds like Sneaky Pete rubbed off a bit on you too, darlin'!

Might see ya at NHRF this weekend, but the weather's not looking very good -- can't have our man of metal rusting now, can we? Just might be a 'dane kinda day....... :sigh:

Cap'n Ann had posted that response a loooooonnnnnng time ago around when I first came to the boards ;-)
Looks like tomorrow is going to royaly sucketh as far as the weather goes. I've been trying to get people to positively direct their energies toward good weather but they keep saying rain rain rain rain... kinda detracts from the effect LOL. Of course I am also thinking that people may very well be doing a good job at thinking for good weather but are forgetting that they need to be thinking for good weather for KINGSTON NH ROFL
Oh well... always an adventure!
We go to set up this afternoon and are going to try our damnedest for a high and dry sort of spot.
Hope to see you guys there.... Sunday looks like the better day for garb... perhaps Romantico Handsome can come out to play::waggle::

D'OH!!!!!!!!!!

*sigh*...... shows how much I was paying attention last night!

We still may stop by on Saturday morning (in 'danes -- blech!), but Sunday is unfotunately out as "Romantico" starts his new weekend job to support his multiple personality habit. I'm really starting to lose track......

But it looks like the trip to Moresca is still on ::crossing fingers::. Nothing cheers me up like garb shopping.......
