The best part about the book is that a lot of the details and info the author uses are REAL. He just works them into a nifty work of fiction!

Dan Brown's first book was excellent as well, it's called Angels & Demons.

I just finished the book this afternoon, and found to be an amazing tale. Has anyone read the other book of his? I really want to get it!

This book is woooooooonderful!!

Don't forget to read it's prequel, Angels and Demons Dan Brown has the most amazing writing style. These are real page-turners. The plot twists are the best. Completely unexpected!

Was I the only one who did NOT see the end of 'Code' coming at all? It was so left field.

I've had The DaVinci code on my list of books to get and read for some time now. Should I read Angels and Demons first?

No Jeannie, it's really not chronologically set up. Angels and Demons DOES giv a TEENSY bit more into the main character's background (who's name escapes me....grrrr...Robert something).

But the plots are both different, but deal with almost the same subject matter. I read DaVinci first, and went scouring looking for another Dan Brown novel, and came across Angels & Demons.

Unfortunately, I havent been able to find anything else by him...hope he writes another soon!! :?

I'm reading this book now - a-w-e-s-o-m-e!! Read Angels and Demons and thought it was equally fantastic! Very good writer - I will not read anything that is poorly written and Dan Brown has definitely proven himself an interesting writer! If you like murder mysteries, definitely check out his books!! Enjoy! {hugs} cc

Excellent book, well researched. I think I read it in 2 nights. This book has brought on a renewed interest in Holy Blood, Holy Grailby Michael Baignet, Henry Lincoln, and Richard Leigh. The DaVinci code makes references to this book and it's subject matter. Barnes and Noble has it in paperback which means I need to buy it so I can read it. That whole subject interest me.

My mom has been harassing me to read this book telling me how wonderful it is! I'm getting there..so much to read. :D But she was not aware that there were three more books! Ahhh! Made her night. ^_^

(I have her stuck on Anne Rice right now though. :D)

But thank you, I know what I'm getting Mommy for Christmas!

Okay - I have finished the book and LOVED the ending! Well done! Angels & Demons is still my favorite, but I will continue to read whatever he prints! Love a good writer - and one that does their research! Highly recommended! {hugs} cc

I adored DaVinci Code (I love religious symbolism and mythology) and I liked Angels and Demons very much, but Digital Fortress (The SO got it for my as a christmas gift) was a good book, but Da Vinci was superb. I s'pose his writing style has just imporoved incrementally, IMO.

That means the next one will be even better. Can't wait for that!

I finished DaVinci last week, and have been wishing there was more to it! I love a GREAT book like this, but am always sad when I put it down. I will have to go hunt for the other book.

Dan is a MARVELOUS storyteller. He did a great job weaving everything together! I am looking forward to the end of April when the campus ministry group that I work for has a discussion of the DaVinci Code... :D I can't wait to talk about it with everyone else!

Read them all now... These are the kind of book that eating and sleeping get in the way of. After you pick it up, you don't want to put it down, sometimes even when you really have to.

My fave of all? Can't decide... Angels and Demons? or DaVinci... Not sure, I guess I have to read them again!

Side note, the mental picture I have of Robert Langdon is very dreamy indeed...

loved the DaVinci Code!

The website is fun too...did anyone try it? I did and I must say that at one point you end up seeing the name Elonka all over the place (you'll see what I mean).

I know her personally, LOL. And she's a hoot. and she's that Talented and Brilliant. Wench material indeed.

Hmmm..I may just get her a membership as a gift.
