Doubltree in Mahwah??

I was just looking at the NYRF website and under accomodations they list a Doubletree hotel on route 17 south.

Is this a new hotel? I don't ever remember a Doubletree on route 17 south.

Marriot Courtyard, Ramada, Comfort Inn, yes....but a Doubletree???

I called them the other day, they used to be the Ramada, but got bought out by Doubletree. I was quoted $109/night for first weekend.

I still haven't figured out where I'm staying first weekend. But I will be at the Courtyard for second weekend.

It's actually 89 a night if you ask for the ren faire rates.

Glad someone bought out that Ramada though because other than the restaurant in it, it BLEW! The rooms were not up to standard.

I'm staying at the Marriot first weekend. It's my hotel of choice for Tux.

I'll be at the Marriott as well, first and second weekend, and the rest of August. We'll probably move over to the Sheraton for September.

Yeah I just figured this out last weekend when my fiance and I went looking for the 'Ramada' so we could get steaks and my spidey sense was majorly screwed with!!!!

Yep. It is now the Doubletree and they've painted it on the outside...looks nice enough. Hopefully the rooms will be ok. Unfortunately i may have to miss Opening day. how screwed up is THAT?????

I have a small apt. and room for 2 people if you dont mind sleeping on an areo bed or on the sofa. I live about 40 minutes to tuxedo. If you need some place to stay and cash is tight, I would be willing to house some people. Send me a private email if anyone is interested.
