View Full Version : Faking Sextuplets...

Um. Wow. :stunned:
GRAIN VALLEY, Mo. - The library books on multiple births crowded the couple's coffee table. The bedroom-turned-nursery awaited the arrival of six newborns.
But in the end, authorities say Sarah and Kris Everson never had the sextuplets as claimed. All they had was what appears to be a big lie.
The couple's dramatic story had holes in it from the start — from their mysterious withholding of information for more than a month to the unanimous response of area hospitals that they hadn't helped deliver the newborns.
On Tuesday, authorities said the mystery had been solved — the entire tale was deemed a hoax aimed at tapping the generosity of others to pay the couple's mounting bills.
But *this* is my favorite part:
Reached by phone late Tuesday, Sarah Everson offered no explanation. "I'm not talking to anybody right now," she said, "because nobody gets it."

I read that before. Those 2 really need to go down for that.
What I don't see made clear though was if she was pregnant at all or if that too was part of the hoax?

No..no we don't get it. Thank god. I would never WANT to be able to "get" what would make a person do that

Did they think that they would get away with it? Honestly, that's not the worst idea I've ever heard, but it's close.

I feel sorry for the people that fell for the scam. What happens now if a couple really does have the need for the help the public may not come to their aid because of crooks like this couple?

I don't understand that either. I mean, if we look at the pictures she looks *really* pregnant, but I didn't read of any birth at all...
Does anybody else know? No biggie, I'm just curious.

Just read the article..........
to me, she looks like she's got a ball or part of a ball under her clothes.
if she really had that many babies, would she really be laying that flat on the bed? NOT ME !!!

Good point. With just The One I couldn't lie flat on my back. Forgot about that until you brought it up.

And what would have happened if they got away with it. Wouldn't someone notice that they are driving around their nice new van with no kids in it? Or would the children not survive their premature birth and then they could solicit for money for funeral expenses with no actual bodies to bury?
For a scam, they didn't really think this through, did they?

Seriously...these kind of hair-brained schemes are seldom well thought out.

I kept looking at the picture thinking something was wrong. I remember I couldn't lay down I slept kinda sitting up in a recliner and that was with a single baby inside

Yeah, this was JUST on the news. She was NEVER even pregnant! Can you believe the nerve? And she and the guy just kept saying, we were behind on our bills and needed the money.
The sad thing is the community. That is a rare gift to have a town support and be so generous, and they just poo-ed all over that gift! I really hope that if real sex-tuplets are "blessed" (is blessed really the word?) to that community that they won't be jaded. Although, I wouldn't blame them to demand sonogram proof!
I don't know, I'm completely furious about this story, because I'm in the process of having Irish twins (my baby is 7 months and other baby is expected Oct). And I can't imagine not having people being kind and looking in on me family or community. I would think stories like these make people more skeptical about helping and caring. What do you think?

OK, first of all I want to state that although I've lived in the state of Misery ... er Missouri for nearly 27 years ... I wasn't born or raised here. That said - good frelling gawd I'm so sick of ignorant Kansas and Missouri boogans I could hurl out my trailer!
Last year a Kansas woman traveled to Missouri after faking 9 months of pregnancy to everyone including her husband (could we say, buy a clue, dude?) ... she murdered a young woman (21) who was 8.5 months pregnant and then cut the baby girl out of her womb, went back to Kansas and passed her off as her own. Told her husband to come pick her up at the Taco Bell across the street from the hospital in Topeka. (Again, could this guy be lower on the gene ladder?)
Now this ... Grain Valley is just east of Kansas City about 17 miles. This story has been all over the local news (bad enough) ... with the stupid bitch confessing that she really hadn't been pregnant ... duh ... and acting like the picture of her in bed with a huge belly was some fluke produced by someone else!
Now in less than 7 hours - I turn 50, and I do cover the gray in my hair with Nice n Easy Red Dye #2 ... but if this gal is actually of child-bearing age, I'll eat my next box of red dye!!! She's married (who knows what # this guy is) to a seemingly much younger (but equally stupid) guy and she's got a history of faking pregnancies. Hello?! Dude, clue phone ... it's for you!!!
When asked by a local reporter what they'd planned to do when they faced the inevitability that people would actually want to see these six miracle babies - not just two boogan adults who shouldn't be allowed to breed holding baby duds - they replied, "duh, uh, well we uh didn't really thunk about that thar we just thot it was a gud idear to git us some munny cuz wezuns po."
Christ on a cracker - could they make Missourians looks any more frellin' inbred and stupid?!
Make them stop - my brain is bleeding!!!!

One..Happy Birthday Wendy :)
..Two.. good LORD am I getting a mocking about this stuff at work. If I hear ONCE MORE "are people from missouri/kansas REALLY all that dumb?!" I'm going to snap. This case did NOTHING to help my argument that we're not all backwoods tree dwellers smoking corncob pipes and using smoke signals to communicate...
