Did anyone hear about this?! I saw on a news report last night that some asshole creep has been video taping highschool cheeleders without their knowledge and selling it on ebay! He goes to the football games and video tapes and edits it so all the focus is on crotches and boobs, and he shows their faces clearly, sometimes focusing on their faces and mouths alone! These girls are 14 to 17 years old and they are against their knowledge being used as soft porn. It's just outragous.
Apparently there is no course of action the parents can take. Ebay apparently took it down, but this is not the 1st time crap like this has been sold on ebay. This makes me furious! I mean I am aware that there are creeps out there who film women without their knowledge, I have heard some really ballzy crap. But if I had a daughter.....What a violation. Our kids are just not safe. Laws have to be changed. They know who it is too, if I was one of the parents I would hunt him down and make his life a nightmare.

#1 Just to be clear I don’t approve of this not that being said...
everything this guy is doing is perfectly legal... sorry... cheerleaders are performers and putting on a show for spectators... not IF there is a prohibition against bringing cameras to the football (or whatever) games then there is a course of action for the parents however I doubt any school will ever forbid filming of their sports games.
and lets be honest cheerleaders are little more than T&A displays. Not trying to be rude or anything but I just call them like I see them. Don’t get me worn some of those cheer/dance groups are major athletes in their own right but they are still T&A shows.
He can even be hit for underage porn as he was just filming exactly what the squad normally does.
ok Flame on...

That's my point. It isn't illegal. And even if it's a "T&A" show it should still be challenged that he is selling it. Especially because they are underage. In shcool systems we have to sign waivers to allow our children to be placed online, my business requires the same thing. If he was just selling the video of the performance would be one thing, but he is edits it for sexual arousel purposes. It's not just what they are normally performing.
So, if we as women keep ourselves in good shape and get a hot bikini to wear because we are happy that we look attractive, someone should be aloud to film us and sell it on ebay with out being challenged? I mean shouldn't we challenge this? Just because we may want to be seen as attractive does not mean we desreve to be vitimaized and used for financial and sexual purposes without our consent. I mean I don't have a problem with adult films and such at all, but this is not right.

Ahh, see now we step into that "gray area" called law... Yes if you wear a skimpy thong bikini AND are on a PUBLIC beach/pool etc you have no reasonable since of privacy you choose to be dressed in that fashion in public there for your image (it can be argued) becomes public domain (some of the same problems the ladies here were having with some of the cleavage shots at faire). And yes you should challenge it but most likely nothing will come of it... I went to e-bay and typed cheerleader into the DVD movie search and there is someone with a UK web address that is selling this same type of DVD.
If he was just selling the video of the performance would be one thing, but he is edits it for sexual arousal purposes. It's not just what they are normally performing.
It's EXACTLY their normal routine just the focus is different... if I shoot this same video focusing on a single member the focus changes again... it's all in the point of view... until the schools change the rules to prohibit filming sports games or stop teenage girls from doing near stripper routines in mini-skirts then this isn’t going to change... try this... got to your local HS football game and see how many folks take pictures of the cheerleaders... not how many are men then try and figure out how many are the fathers of the cheerleaders.
One of my coworkers just pulled her 8 year old daughter out of cheer/dance class because one of the routines for computation was not much more than a bump and grind in skimpy costumes and this is for the 8 year olds to be able to compete! She showed me the video for the competition for that age group and her daughter’s group was TAME compared to the other groups... I've seen strippers who had fewer moves!
Sexualize a child (or teen in this case) and they will be viewed as sexual beings. Period.

Wasn't there a big to do on these boards a few months ago about some guy who was taking and selling pictures of buxom wenches at faires and selling the on ebay, again without the wench's knowledge?
Same thing applies. If you go out like that you are inviting all kinds a crazies and nutjobs. It shouldn't be allowed, but that damn first ammendment can be very tricky.
I agree that the children should be off limits, a child is a child no matter how they dress. the dude is abviously sick, but ebay and the guys buying the pics are even sicker in my book.
