Louisiana RenFaire - ever been??

I'm seriously considering going to the Louisiana faire the first weekend of November and wanted to ask, if you have been before, what is your opinion and do you have any suggestions for my visit? I grew up in the New Orleans area - high school in Mandeville (not far from Hammond) - but have been in DC for the past 22 years and MDRF is my home faire - haven't been *home* in quite some time and never when there was a renfaire there! Rowland and I attended the Louisianna Renfaire in 2001 Thanksgiving weekend. We had a wonderful time!!! :)
the entertainment was enjoyable..
Hint..Hint...(Craig of Farrington will be there) along with the Tortuga Twins.. and many more.. :wink:
not a lot of food choices but what was there was good, the site it's self was very nicely laid out..
It is going into it's 4th year and I have heard it is growing.
We are hoping to attend again this year if possible. :)

Hey Mercie!! :bananada: Sounds like LaRF is gonna be a good time! I enjoyed the Tortugas at GARF - even bought their t-shirt for my son, Nick - so will look forward to seeing them again. Very funny, I thought! So now I am looking more forward to going and thinking - budget aside - that I will stear my plans towards going to that instead of North Carolina in November. Halloween Friday in the French Quarter, LaRF on Saturday, and clean out my father's storage site on Sunday (about 1/2 hour South of LaRF, and my main reason for going home to NOLA), come home to DC/MD on Monday. Would have liked to have driven over to the Texas faire on Sunday, but need to quit paying rent on the storage space, so have to take care of that. Besides, the hubby (Lee) wouldn't appreciate me going all the way down to LA and not getting it done! *LOL* So, thanks for the info - looking forward to going now! Whoohoo! {hugs} cc
(p.s. - y'all gonna be at TUX first weekend of August?? coming to MDRF, right?! Let me know!)
