Can you recommend any good books about general first aid/health/wellbeing?

So I thought I would ask it here. I usually turn to my textbooks for answers on stuff like this *l*

I would like your thoughts on books dealing with conventional medicine, as well as books dealing with complimentary medicine {herbal, etc.}

i have a whole cd-rom full of herbal remedies, it has pretty much everything in it... i got it at best buy for like $5... if only i could remember what it was called... give me a sec... it'll come to me
