Awww....images of bunny "binkies" jump through my mind. I miss those cute, happy, vertical leaps. My old girl just doesn't do this anymore.

I must be immune to cuteness, but what the heck is it? Is it some kind of rodent?

Gasp!!! Nope, not a rodent. It's a lagomorph.

Don't worry, Oh Great Boobage of Evile, I'm immune too. I think it's a bunny.

Hey! At LEAST wait until it's fully grown before you eat it! That little thing would hardly produce a meat ball, let alone a pot pie...

That's an awful lot of work to go through for a bite sized snack... you ever kill a rabbit before? There's blood and fur everywhere, and then ya gotta clean it... not as much fun as it sounds.

Nobody said it's fun. We're saying it's good eatin'!

Why, yes, actually, contrary to what you psychically know about any of us just by concentrating on our avatars, there are quite a few of us who know what's what, what's going on in the world and we're aware of just how messy it is to kill a rabbit.

or a chicken.

or any live creature. I'm sure that some of us have not so fond memories.

Jesus christ. I give up. What started as a joke was quickly stomped by your post. thanks.

It's never FUN to kill anything... Yet it takes skill to tag a rabbit at 30 yards with a bow and that skill is something that I am proud of. There is an certain art to being an effective predator. As for gutting, skining and the like: I won't kill anything I won't eat, so it comes with the territory.

Sides, if you skin small game correctly, the whole thing comes off like a sweater, no fuss no muss...MAYBE a few stray hairs... then you can get to the process of gutting it...

My grandfather was a pretty good hunter. I admire someone who can hunt like that, I'm crap with any sort of ranged weapon.

I didn't think it stomped the joke, and even after you said this, I still didn't think she was being pompous or anything to question if you (or anyone) had done it before. She didn't know if anyone had, she asked a question. I do it in convo all the time. Personally, I haven't killed a rabbit, and didn't know that it was all that bloody or messy (though I never really thought about it either.) I didn't think it killed the joke at all, just added another thread of convo to an already diverse thread.
