Wow, no posts here for a lonnnnnng time! Anyone home?
Hello, ladies!
I'm a (relatively) new Wench to this Local...living on the South Coast and gearing up for KRF. I know there's no Wench Walks there; is there any official Wench presence there? Or would CRF be more Wench-populated?
I don't think I've yet taken the opportunity to greet the Local and drop curtsies to the elected officials...::does so::
Looking forward to lots of memory-making...

Hey Vix,
*Aahhhhhchoooooooooo!*
solly, allergnies
Anyway, there are wenches at King Richards, but since I worked there 15 years and it took going to another faire to discover the guilds, I'd have to say there isn't an official presence. I haven't worked there in 5 years though, so something may have changed.
Lady Reddy is our dame of Hostle and she does a mahvahlous job! We have a strong presence at CTRF and the Salem Pirate Fest for upcoming faires. In fact, the Local 24 hostle is very different from what you will find at most faires. As often as possible, we have what basically amounts to our own booth. Lady Reddy and other volunteer wenches (yes, you can help out too) provide ice water, baked goodies, other snacks, a place to sit down, a plce to lie down (if over come), a place to meet and greet all your sister wenches and quite a few rogues and other guild members. All of the Wench Walks meet there to "Lock and Load". The Local 24 hostle is also open to all cast members, whenever possible, as a back up green room if necessary. All of this is done by volunteers, so if you feel like helping out by staffing the tent for a couple of hours, or bringing a snack, or by 'stuffing the bodice' to help defray cost, talk to Lady Reddy to see what is needed.
See you around the faire site.....
Off to NYRF this weekend and MDRF next weekend. Wheeee!

Welcome! :)
there are a few of us Officials at KRF but not an Official Presence.... :) I work in the Rememberance Shoppe by the front gate. Do stop by to say hello. I don't get out much and I am shy, but I'm always ready with a smile.
Look for the pins... you'll find a few in the gaming area! :)
*starts panic'ing* how many days? where's my pin? my mug? argh!!!!
actually, i won't be there for opening weekend, but I'll be there every other weekend afterwards..... :)
ttfn!
Julie / Vanessa *still can't come up with a good persona / name....*
Besides gamers and boothies, there's also me at KRF. I'm the cooksurgeon to the pirates of Carvershire this year. It's hard to miss me, since i'm the really loud one in the green bodice. Come play!! :-D

I'm here I'm here! We will be going to KRF this weekend.. Sunday it looks like. Also vending at CTRF.... which is by the way where I found out about the IWG. Took just one person to ask "Are you a Wench?" she could tell by the puzzled look I was not. A week later I had found this site and weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee here I sit!::yay::

I've gotta admit.... I actually thought there was something wrong with the Local 24 forum when I first signed up!!!!
We do have a VERY active community here in New England, and I think especially so at CTRF -- it's the first place I ever heard about the guild, too (thanks, Lady Reddy!!!). The Salem Pirate Faire is more of a Privateers' Hostel, but wenches are most welcome.
KRF, sadly, does not have an "official" IWG presence (anybody know the reason why?), but that certainly doesn't stop me and m'luv from attending whenever we have the chance....... and the money.
Hope to see you around! Just look for the wench with the harp on her bodice....... :hi:
