I am thinking about the possibility of making candles to sell.. What kind of candles do you like?

Super duper smelly candles!! :cheer:
Scented candles are the best...scented with essential oils. I did that for a while...it's easier than it looks, quite frankly.
You can always tell the candles that are truly scented with essential oils, cause they leave a TEENY film of oil on your fingers after they have set....and they're still kind of malleable, even after they harden.
But keep me posted. I spend SO much money on candles as it is, I'd rather give it to a sister wench than the dummies at the New Age store.

On the other side of the coin... Scented candles give me intense headaches. I prefer clean beeswax or bayberry - if you can get enough berries!

I definately like the idea of the Essential oil candels, and understand about the headache factor...
Are there any particular fragrances, that you have found that you can tolerate?? Also, I would consider sending out test samples for those with smell issues.. They would have to be overnighted though..
I used to be a partylite person, and as much as I like the product, I don't agree with moving someone to the inactive lists because they don't sell anything for 3 months.. They did that to me during festival season.. jerks..

The scents that get to me are the "heavy" ones - musk, sandlewood, patchiouli - that type. I have fewer problems with citus and light mint - a love eucalyptus and tea tree.

Lighter Scents aren't a huge deal at all.. I know that not everyone loves a heavy scented candle, and not many places offer light scents.. I think that even some good kitchen candles are cool (citrus basil)..
An Nikki.. You're on!!! Perhaps Shannon and I could put together a package deal of soapies and candles.. =) Hmmm.. The wheel is churning.

And those are the ones I like best!
Actually Emalia, if you could make candles that smell like Victoria's Secret #88, I would buy cases. That perfume smells like bottled faire, I love it!!

Other than scented.. Do you prefer pillars, container candles, tealites, votives, or canister candles?

Did I understand rightly that you can make a candle with perfume? Please inform me......since I am dumber than dirt about this type of craft. If you can make them...I wear White Shoulders and I would looove having candles made with that scent.

Scented candles? Ooooh! Want! Need! Must have!
I like spicy scents. Frankincense and myrrh are my faves. Anything citrusy is my second fave.

I like apple scented stuff. A nice crisp apple, sometimes with cinnamon in it.
But I like any type of candle I can get my hands on, as far as whether they are in a container or votive or taper, what have you.
