Just wanted to say hi. :) I'm a member of Local 42 but I'll be moving up your way next month (Worcester MA). Sadly, I won't be up there in time to hit CTRF though. Come next faire season though...I'm all yours! And I'll still be mostly a newbie, since this is the first year I've been to faire. Hope y'all are mostly gentle in continuing the breaking in process next year.

I grew up just a short hop from Worcester, so your new digs will be nearby my old haunts! ;-)

It's too bad that you won't be able to make it to CTRF this season -- we have the greatest hostel there! Depending upon when you move up here, KRF runs one weekend longer than CTRF, and there's also the NHRF/Samhain celebration on the last weekend of October.

When you have a chance, join up with the Local 24 Yahoo! group; it tends to be a bit more active than the boards here......

Well, I might be able to sneak up for CTRF on the last weekend. It's still really iffy though, so I'm not planning on it just yet. If only I didn't live 8 hours away right now!

I did sign up for the Yahoo group, just waiting on approval. :)

Welcome to Local 24. The more the merrier!!::yay::::yay::

The New England area has many small faires and a couple of larger ones to enjoy ever year. We can keep you busy from May through the end of October. Always plenty going on.

You may also want to check out New England Rennies. Great group of people the website is www.nerennies.com

Woohoo looks like I will get to sneak up for the last weekend at CTRF after all. Hope to meet y'all. :)

Still waiting to get approved for the mailing list. Does anyone know who I could give a friendly nudge to, or offer bribes to? Chocolate, massage, whatever...I'm not above bribery!

When you get there, you can't miss the hostel (ironically it is a red building with the number 24 on it *rotfl* ) its also the faire memories booth.

Pansy, can yu let Lady S or Lady Reddy know we have an invite waiting? I figure you talk to them more than me.

Also, stop by the Fin and Feather Tavern, that's where I'll be, and there is at least 1 or 2 more of us up by there.

I'll be sure to come find y'all. :) My pirate may have me volunteering to work on Saturday (he's one of the Royal Guardians), but if nothing else, I'll be roaming free on Sunday. So, one of those days, I'll definitely drop by.

I started in the 24 but am also a member of the 42.... and sort of a half member of the 21, which is half the 42....

Hello, there! I, too am new to this site. I'm hoping to be able to join, but first I'd like to know a thing or two. Does this chapter meet in the off season? If so, how far a drive (from Cape Cod) are said meetings? Also, how often do you folks meet?
Any answers would be appreciated! In the meantime, I can't wait to start gabbin'! *^_^*
