Maybe this is already a well known site but i just discovered it!
http://www.calontirtrim.com
they have a HUGE selection with lots of color variations and GREAT prices and if you're SCA as well, they have specialized trims for some kingdoms, awards and positions which i thought was pretty spiff.. they'll also, according to a reputable source, make custom trim but it of course costs dearly..
i am SO sunk with this site... budget.. what budget?
you can also search by color , metal, price and name and the prices start at 1.25 and the most expensive stuff is 6.00 a yard!
forget the drool rag and get out a drool bucket!

Another great place to go to if you're looking to go for very reasonable but somewhat less expensive trim is www.cheeptrims.com.
A lot of the calontir trim is also on cheeptrims, but for much less.
CAVIAT: You have to buy the stuff by the spool. So if you're looking for only two yards of trim, go with Calontir. If you're looking for entire spools of trim for something really fancy, go with cheeptrims before you look at calontir! :)

Also, Pillaged Village (http://pillagedvillage.com/) has revamped their site, and they too sell pretties, but not at as nice of prices...

If anyone is in the Dallas area be sure to go over to Harry Hines...there are several fabric outlets with everything from curtain material to buttons...I just got linen blend in soft electric blue for 1.50/yd and a 3 yd section in sage green for 4.50 total.....
