Japanese TV viewers were riveted by this pooch's (http://us.video.aol.com/video.index.adp?mode=2&guideContext=65.785&pmmsid=1776175) plight...thankfully it ends well!

I remember this!! It was serious coverage. My host mom said she thought it was a big deal because Japan is such a country of dog lovers, and it's right on the heels of a report about a pound-like facility closing and the dogs having no homes to go to.
