I've been wanting to go have a reading done. But I hesitate because I don't know anyone who does them. I can find one, but I question are they any good?
How do you choose a reader? Can someone in the Philly area recommend someone?
Thanks.

My best suggestion is finding a good Psychic Fair near you, and asking folks at booths about the readers. Then mentally take a poll. Most readers are pretty well versed and well read.
The shows around here house, Clairvoyants, Tarot Readers, Rune Tossers and I-Ching interpreters. I've seen Crystal readings, water readings and stone readings. Just depends on who you meet up with!
I would go based on comfort level. The reader should make you feel at ease, instead of scared out of your witz, THOUGH the few readers that had "spooky vibes" did come across with the most amazing readings. So it's a fifty fifty on that one.
The other option is to call New Age Stores and ask them who their house reader is. Or who the best reader they have is. Call on different days, each day someone else will tell you someone different, it's all opinion and preferance.
I delt with readers when I worked in Califorina at a Spiritual Center. We had 30 in a room during fairs. Sometimes folks would just "zone" onto a reader and BAM, that was their reader. Others picked the most popular. Depends on what you want. :)
I do readings, and have for many years. I'd be happy to offer you something via email, or online via Yahoo chat/voice if you'd like, so you can see what a reading is like. Give you an intro if you want. :) Pm me if you want, but either way, I hope some of this advice helped you get what you need. :) If you were in Cincy I'd be all over telling you to go to for readings, but I'm not familiar with who reads in Phily. :P

I do.
But then, two doors down from us at PARF, Dottie is apparently very good. And Barb knows who the best readers are-- ask her Sunday!

Sure, snooks! (I mean, that's what my parents always said about me.) Except that one problem we're both working on. Though I don't know-- maybe judicious application of costuming is the answer there, too?
