Yes! At long last today's the day. After being level 60 forever* and doing the same battlegrounds and the same end-game instances today is the day we get NEW CONTENT!!!

With todays release of the Burning Crusade expansion we now have a good reason to spend all our time in-game again. New races, new continents to explore, a new level cap (70), new everything!!!

I wonder who among us will make it to level 70 first. Personally...my moneys on Dona. In fact..she's probably already 70. ;-)

Looks good so far. I didn't play my main yet. Just got one of the new blue dudes up to 8. It's cool having an entirely new zone to explore.

But I am horde so thus I shall stay. I did create a BElf pally but didn't play her. Got 1/3 of the way to 61 though before server punt and the 1,200 person queue sent me and hubby to bed.

Bind in the main Sta something town. Portals in the center of it to each main city and what looked like to the newbie areas for BElf. Possibly Den as well but I didnt explore too much.

Nothing wrong with serving the light, and they're not ugly.. they have nice butts and wide hips and HORNS. I don't hate Alliance because they serve the Light, I hate the Alliance because they have more human-like Tolken-pretty-boy races, which is just boring to me. I preffer the more barbarian-esque stuff, the Native American culture that the Tauren (and Orcs too, actually) represent, the Aztec-like Trolls, that sort of thing. Not a huge Undead fan, too human.. but at least they're interesting.

I think the trolls are Jamaican, mon.

And I can't get past the spiked tail to look at draenai girls butts. Not a big fan of horns either. Overall they're too goat-like for my taste. Or basically "satyr-like" if you will.

Some trolls have Jamacan accents. However, others have Cuban accents. Their culture is mostly derivitive of Aztec and Inca, ever notice the pyramids and statues and art found in Stranglethorn Vale or Zul'Farrak? The Sandfury trolls and I believe the Aman'i trolls in particular have thick Cuban accents.

Morrigaine is only tall compared to goblins. When I do quests with trolls and orcs, they always have to wait 'cause I just can't run that fast.

Did WC the other day with an Orc, a Tauren and several Trolls. Couldn't even see myself if they stood around me. Luckily, I'm a warlock so I make up for the smallness with extreme viciousness. :twisted:

Orcs in WoW are much less dumb than in other lore. They're really very interesting, especially if you read "Lord of the Clans", the story of Thrall. I just love their culture.

And playing humans is boring. I'm a human in real life.. why be one in a game? Screw that, I got green skin and wicked DPS as an orc. Plus bloodrage! And a big ole wolf to ride on!

And last night, when Kickstand ((aka Nojinbu on Twisting Nether)) went offline, I rolled a BElf. If you can guess who I was in the RP room, I shall give ye cookies.

I'll be me. That's part of the appeal of these games...imagining yourself in that situation.

Same with Star Trek games. I never want to be a Vulcan or a Klingon. I always play human. Cause if I'm suddenly whisked 400 years into the future...I'll still be me.

Probably not, actually. Orcs are not bloodthirsty hardheaded idiots. Some of them are, but most orcs uphold a sense of honor and would not kill an innocent person who is unarmed. After they lost the taint from the Burning Legion, they went back to their old shamanistic culture, and Thrall gave the order not to kill women or children or unarmed men.

Technically, we're -supposed- to be in a truce with the Alliance. My guild, Sanctuary, works to uphold that truce and spread honor and justice. So really, I'd be pretty safe amongst orcs if I didn't make myself out to be a threat. Even Thrall's best childhood friend was a human girl.

Face it...the orcs would kill you. Despite your role-playing belief they're better than humans.

Why would I do that? I don't wanna kill orcs, I think they're sexy.. trolls too. They're kinda half and half with me. I'd probably see if I couldn't find a job in Booty Bay so I could go halfsies and trade with the Horde and the Alliance. Honestly, if I was really ME in WoW, I wouldn't want to fight anyone, especially a race I respect and revere so much.

I've commented a few times while playing on how boring a life all these characters have. They just stand there 24/7. Not much fun really.

I play humans almost exclusively. I have Dmitri or Dmitriy on several different servers in his 'rogue' incarnation. We just started he and Veldrina (Vel) on 'Sentinels' the other day because we wanted to start up on a Rp server. What I do wish is that WoW had a character generation that allowed us to change the size of your character like CoH.

I also wish that they allowed Humans to be 'Hunters'. I love the hunter class but I don't like the races that can be hunters.

As for cultures, I like the barabarism of the horde but Ogrimar and the starting place from orcs and throlls visually sucks as much as the initial quests do. I've tried to play orcs and trolls and never have I been able to tolerate the stupid quests or the scenery for more than level 14. I have enjoyed the Undead and the Tauren initial quests and settings... Save for Tauren and humans males, all the other characters I play are female cause the males suck... Including Nelfs, Dwarves and gnomes

And it's funny that Dmitri says that people find the Horde starting areas boring, because it was just the opposite for me. I thought the Alliance starting areas were boring and couldn't go past lvl 10. I guess I'm just more fond of the desert motif.

I love the hunter class but I don't like the races that can be hunters.
My new Draenei dude is a hunter for just that reason. Tried a Nelf briefly but didn't care for him.

This way I get to play hunter and get all the new zones and quests at the same time.

Some trolls have Jamacan accents. However, others have Cuban accents. Their culture is mostly derivitive of Aztec and Inca, ever notice the pyramids and statues and art found in Stranglethorn Vale or Zul'Farrak? The Sandfury trolls and I believe the Aman'i trolls in particular have thick Cuban accents.

Yikes! I messed around with a draenei hunter during the week but now I've started my main (Musketeer) on the long grind to 70. Gonna' take awhile. You need a half million XP just for 61. Yeesh!!!

And it's a little disconcerting to replace all the purple items I worked so hard for with greens. But hey...the greens you start getting are way better. Gotta' do what you gotta' do.

We ended up transfering servers when the free transfer started a few days ago. Then we decided to screw it and restart most of our characters on new servers, Alliance on one and Horde on the other.

I LIKE the Blood Elves. :snob: I hated the Horde options before but am really enjoying playing someone I think is hawt. I had to laugh at the big hair option, and of course, got it for my warlock. :toocool:

I also have a couple of the alien cows on our Alliance server.

I really wish that some year in the future, they could have a shaman option that does not resemble livestock.
