I wanted to thank all of the wenches and rogues who attended Festival of the Lion in Grafton, MA this past weekend. The faire was a huge success because of you . . . and a lot more fun.
From the Grafton Lions website: FotL is run by the Grafton Lions Club to support the work of Lions in Massachusetts and throughout the world. Since 1925, the Lions Clubs of the world have dedicated themselves to service to the blind and visually impaired.
For the past several years the wenches of Local 24 have supported this faire. We hold wench walks, march in the daily parade . . . and this year we participated in the first annual Wench and Rogue Auction. Several hundred dollars were raised for the Lions. Cathy Preble, vendor coordinator of the faire, was kind enough to give half of the proceeds of the auction to the International Wenches Guild for us to contribute to our charity of choice. Cathy rocks!
Special thanks to those who participated in the wench walks and auction . . .
Amy (whose last name I don't recall but who I'll see at CTRF)
Lady Alana Wick'd who knows just how to get things rising . . . bids at the auction, I mean
Ariana McDonnough
Lady Reddy
The Brownie Goddess, who sweetened the bidding at the auction with a huge platter of her homemade brownies
Branwyn the Impish Wench
Whisper
Rayne Moonfire
Thank yous also to the rogues who guarded us during our walks and who put themselves up on the block:
Sarum Roberts
Lord Rhuff
Styx Roberts
Devin Roberts
Thanks also to Daemion at Potted Fox for letting us use his booth and the real estate behind it as a hostel, muster point and crash space. Best wishes for a speedy and pain free recovery to our Dame of Hostel, Lady True of Gwent who threw her back out in the line of duty (trying to set up a tent for our hostel).
See you all again next year!
Hugs,
Cassandra
