Hey everyone,
I'm just starting to move into making my own bodices (already do the other stuff for myself). I need to find a good source for getting steel boning. I live around Harrisburg, PA. Any suggestions?
Merci, Danke, etc. :)

Yes, yes, yes:
http://corsetmaking.com/
These are the people who make Delicious Corsets, and they're absolutely fabulous. I ordered from them Tuesday morning, and damned if UPS didn't knock on my door Wednesday. I wasn't expecting it that fast, and I wasn't home, alas!, but I'm now waiting by the door. And no, I didn't pay for next-day or anything. It just so happens that they're actually IN Philadelphia. You being in Harrisburg, it might take a trifle longer. But they're wonderful people, extremely friendly, and they fix mistakes, if any, fast. They have good prices, and carry almost anything a corsetiere might need. They have 1/2" wide, 1/4" wide, 2" heavy-duty busks, spoon busks, casings, patterns, brocade and coutil, books, lacings-- you name it. And since they actually MAKE corsets (www.deliciouscorsets.com, go take a look!) they know what they're talking about.
Talk to Psydde (pronounced "Sid"), and tell him Nikki sent you. He's told me several people to whom I suggested them have already called. No, I don't get a comission. But if they keep building their boning orders, now that they're in a new location, I'm hoping (praying!) they'll open up for walk-ins, which they can't quite do yet. If I could run down there in the middle of the day for an emergency busk run, or when I've run out of 13" steels, I'd be in heaven. As it is, shipping is pretty reasonable.
215.868.4274. I have 'em programmed into my phone. Honest.

I buy my stuff from Grannd Garb. (www.granndgarb.com) I've never had a problem placing orders or getting my merchandise. As of the last time I ordered (a year or so ago) they also offered a discount to guild members on some stuff.
