I thought I'd pass this along. If you've already recieved this, I apologize, but it's really looking like it's going to be an awesome new year. New entertainment director, who really isn't new, and it's a beautiful day.
Cast Member Audition Information
The Great Lakes Medieval Faire is looking for actors of all experience levels and types to portray the Villagers of Avaloch, plus Nobility and other characters from 13th Century England. Come be part of our cast!
Dates, Times and Locations:
Note! These times and locations are subject to change, so please check the website before heading out!
Saturday March 17 and Sunday March 18, 2007; 1pm - 5pm
- at the Weathervane playhouse in Akron - http://weathervaneplayhouse.com
Saturday March 24, 2007; 10am - 3pm, Fight Audition: 3pm - 5pm
Sunday March 25, 2007; 10am - 4pm
- at the Feast Hall on the GLMF Faire grounds (see below)
Saturday March 31, 2007; 10am - 3pm, Fight Audition: 3pm - 5pm
Sunday April 1, 2007; 10am - 4pm
- at the Feast Hall on the GLMF Faire grounds (see below)
To get to the auditions held in the Feast Hall on the Faire site, check the Directions page for details. The Feast Hall is through the Faire main gates on the right. If you go past the Maypole (on your left) you've gone too far.
Requirements:
a one (1) minute monologue (either contemporary or period) that best shows your talent
if you have an acting resumé and/or a head shot (or even a recent photograph), please bring them
if you are interested in fighting (stage combat), you must attend both a Fight and an Acting Audition
if you have a special skill (singing, dance, juggling, etc.), come prepared to share it
Notes:
if you are under 16, you must be accompanied by your parent or legal guardian
All cast will be required to make all Saturday and Sunday rehearsals starting May 19th, from 10am-6pm (with a break for lunch)
Fight rehearsals start April 28th and will be every Saturday and Sunday until acting rehearsals begin (see above). From May 22 on they will be held Tuesday and Friday evening from 6pm-9pm until the end of the Faire
You must be available for all Faire Days this season: July 7, 8, 14, 15, 21, 22, 28, 29; August 4, 5, 11, 12, 2007
