Got this from my father in law - a navite of Pgh.

Temperature Conversion Chart

@ +70 degrees:
Floridians turn on the heat and unpack the thermal underwear.
People in Pennsylvania go swimming in the Rivers.

@ +60 degrees:
North Carolinians try to turn on the heat.
People in Pennsylvanians plant gardens.

@ +50 degrees:
Floridians shiver uncontrollably.
People in Pennsylvania sunbathe.

@ +40 degrees:
Italian & English cars won't start.
People in Pennsylvania drive with the windows down.

@ +32 degrees:
Distilled water freezes.
The Monongahela and Ohio River water gets thicker.

@ +20 degrees:
Floridians put on coats, thermal underwear, gloves and woolly hats.
People in Pennsylvania throw on a flannel shirt.

@ +15 degrees:
Philadelphia landlords finally turn up the heat.
People in Pittsburgh have the last cookout before it gets cold.

@ +10 degrees:
People in Miami all die.
Steeler fans lick the flagpole.

@ 0 degrees:
Floridians fly away to Mexico.
People in Pennsylvania get out their winter coats.

@ -10 degrees:
Miami disintegrates.
The Girl Scouts in Pennsylvania are selling cookies door to door.

@ -25 degrees:
Polar bears begin to evacuate the Arctic.
Pennsylvania Boy Scouts postpone "Winter Survival" classes until it gets cold enough.

@ -30 degrees:
Mount St. Helen's freezes.
People in Pennsylvania rent some videos.

@ -40 degrees:
Santa Claus abandons the North Pole.
Steeler fans get frustrated because they can't thaw the keg.

@ -45 degrees:
Microbial life no longer survives on dairy products.
Cows in Pennsylvania complain about farmers with cold hands.

@ -60 degrees:
ALL atomic motion stops (absolute zero in the Kelvin scale).
People in Pittsburgh start saying, "Cold 'nuff for ya?"

@ -100 degrees:
Hell freezes over.
The Cleveland Browns win the Super Bowl!

LOL! That was great!

Some of that is so true! I actually was driving around with the windows down yesterday, and went out and bought a new grill, so I could grill out today!!!

I love the Ceveland jab!!!

Even being a transplant to the Pittsburgh area, I know this is a very accurate depiction of the local population...... :-D

WAY TOO CUTE!!! hehe and very fun... sherman was 50 degrees yesterday... at 1pm... grumbel grumbel... i wanna be somewere warm!!! Its freaking July and I am in a sweatshirt... and under a blanket... I turned up the heat!!!
But I'm a wimp when it comes to cold so... eh.

Not this one.....I've been trying to get the hubby to give in to a weekend trip to Erie for over 2 years now, so our child can actually see SNOW. Ask me sometime to show you the pictures of hubby and I standing on Lake Erie.

That was good. My dad was from Pittsburgh till my mom got him and kept in Cincinnati. It's pretty accurate Id say:-D
