Looks like NYRF will close the way it began - with rain. Only this time it will be cold rain instead of warm rain.

Sigh.........and me without a Half Moon or a warm cloak. : (

So when we all get really sick, can we sue REC?

Has anyone else heard that they are going back to 8 weeks again next year. The only problem is, they'll be tacking a week on to the end, instead of the beginning...

So far I have not confirmed this with the office, but I know I am already cold in my tent the last couple of weeks!

From what I've heard--and I can nearly confirm it as a guarantee-- it will be starting a week in and ending at the end of September. Which, of course, also conflicts with quite a few other Faires. CTRF, for one.

Back to the old 8 week schedule, which sucks because MDRF Pirate invasion is usually that week, which has been big for Crimson Pirates.

NYRF is going to 8weekends... AND it's being tacked on at the end... Which is better for weather usually... Cooler, less humid...

Not if you can get 5 personal recommendations, notarized in blood, to stay at the Tux... Assuming of course, someone actually GIVES UP a room there...

If you don't have a bathroom attatched to your room (tent,RV etc), it's camping!!!!

Keeping my fingers crossed for OK weather this weekend (but not holding my breath)

Well, I know I'm not giving up MY room at the Tux! :pfft:

And actually if any of you haven't been there in a few years and still think of the Tux from the early '90's.....they've put some money back into it. Rooms are clean, new paint, new carpet, new bedding, new TV's in the rooms.... and many even have a small fridge. Still no phones in the rooms, but most of us have cell phones now so it's less of a big deal.... and there's always hot water for my morning shower.... without waiting on line.
