Posting for Lady Reddy and Madam Whisper -
Good Morning Wenches .....Welcome to the 2007 Renaissance Faire Season
Madam Whisper and I wish to say Hello To All
Again Local 24 of the International Wenches Guild will be hosting the "Travelers Hostel" at Southern Connecticut Renaissance Faire. There have been a few small local faires around but SCRF seems to be our kickoff faire.
SCRF gives us a wonderful shady spot back in the pirate cove and we certainly appreciate the shade on those hot July days.
We are in need of a couple of things.
First - Your Time:
Wench walks are scheduled for 1:30 every afternoon (There are no wench walks on Friday nights). We must have a lust of 5 wenches to do a Wench Walk. We will have a flier posted at the main gate giving you more up to date information regarding time and the rules and regulations.
Wench walks are a fun way to interact with the faire. The SCRF Hostel operates strictly on Donations so if you desire to have a "certain somebody" wenched a $10.00 donation to the bodice is required. Otherwise we pick our targets strictly on a random basis.
For those of you who do not feel like walking in a walk, we always need someone to "woman the hostel" for an hour while we complete our "duties".
Second - A food donation to the Hostel
The hostel provides the best ice water in the shire to all Guild Members, SCRF Cast, Crew, Merchants and Performers...ok i guess the Owners can have some too. Most have their own mugs and we count on that when we purchase paper cups.
We also provide snacks. We try to have some healthy fruits and veggies, but nothing beats a bit of chocolate on a hot summer day. So we are looking for goodies. Your favorite snack, nibble thing, or baked good would be greatly appreciated a bag of hershy kisses or minatures are also a welcome snack AND....it does not have to be "home made". A package of cookies is just as good as something from your own oven. We are not there to provide meals, just some refreshment and a way station for those who need it.
We will provide you with: All the ice water you could ever consume, Lipstick for wenching, Lots of laughs and most of all, the companionship of your fellow wenches.
There are a couple of Rules of the Hostel....... Leave all drama at the front gate and You are all ordered to have a great time. And remember to wear your pin to show your pride.
On another note:
The Wenches from Local 69 are planning a visit to our hostel at SCRF. They are so impressed by all the "rumors" they have heard about our hostel that they want one of their own at Tux. They are going to come by and pick our brains in hopes having a great hostel there also. As always all wenches from every local are welcome to join us at any time.
Lets make this a Wenchly Renaissance Faire Season.
Remembering that all is faire in Love and Wenching
