I had actually a few questions if that is alright?
I was at a friends house not to long ago and she told me her little cosion could not sleep by himself because he was told by his dad's girlfriend that she was a witch and she would cast evil on him. Now he can't sleep through the night without nightmeares and I felt horrible becuase we are not like that! (Of course it makes it worse because he is such a devote Baptist. So is my friends family. I try to not speak about Religon while I'm there) I was thinking about it and I was curious if there was anything she could do to help him sleep through the night. I was gonna sugjest Lavander or something but I thought I would ask and see what you thought. So there I have asked :)
Okay so it's only one now because I have forgotten what else I was going to ask LOL I have the worst memory. And I'm a terrible speller LOL just to warn you now ;)

I'm a rock hound :D So I would suggest citrine (a form of Yellow Quartz) to prevent nightmares (Scott Cunnigham's Stone book can't remember the title off hand), or Hematite, Onyx, Tiger's eye, or nearly any black stone as a protective stone. You should probably clean it before handing it to him, (bury in salt for a day, expose to sun and moonlight, or just visuilize it clean, any way that works for you). First if you tell the kid it's a gift from god to keep bad things away, or nightmares away he will probably beleive you. Dumbo's feather? And phrased that way it won't offend his parents. While I wouldn't suggest programing the stone in this instance (because of the religious nature of his parents) a prayer to higherpowers to help it remove his nightmares would probably work as well.

That's so sad. *sighs* If I were your friend, I would tell my cousin that I love him very very much. And that he shouldn't be afraid of me. Leave it really simple. Children don't need details. :) If he asks why his dad said those things, she can tell him, it's because Daddy and I are different. He likes vanilla ice cream and I like raspberry ice cream, we just have different tastes things.
Then since her cousin is Christian, you she could tell him that Angels watch over him when he sleeps, and that he should never be afraid to fall asleep because he's always protected. That God's Helpers dont' let anything bad happen to little children. They are always safe.
My nephew is being raised Baptist, and comes to our house. He asks about my statues, and things, and I says, "Those are beautiful aren't they? Their from Ireland. Do you know here that is?" And I'll show him a map. And tell him "Auntie is part Irish, like you. That's speical being Irish." I leave out what I believe, because at six his choices are simple. God is beautiful, and great. Jesus is a good friend of his. My husband is Christian, and I support him, in all his beliefs. So in return I respect his family's beliefs, even thought they might not share my own.
Though my Nephew does love my fairies. :) He's got a little guy he carries around in his pocket that is "imaginary friend" called Sprout. I know he's not imaginary, and my nephew knows he's not imaginary, but we dont' tell him Mom or Dad, or Mamaw or Papaw. It's better to let sleeping dogs sleep. :)
I hope that helps. I'm sorry that his father is so close minded. It's difficult to hear that. I hope one day that he can learn to be more open and accepting, that is my blessings and tidings for him.

Thank you so much guys!I will e-mail her what you said (well I will rewrite it so it sounds like it came from me because like I said I have to tred lightly when it comes to her and her family.) I finially remembered what I was going to ask. I am not a normal Pagan so to speak. (when I say that I mean i don't cast circles or anything. I make up all my own spells with whatever I have that will work :) LOL Like if my brother is sick a use a blue candle and say a little something to Bridget in order to ask her to heal him or help him sleep straight through the night without coughing or anything. Now I have a problem I have something along the lines of either ghosts or Fairies or something in my house. I can't seem to get rid of them and sometimes I feel malice in the house (one reason why I'm an insominac I can't sleep until someone else is awake in the house) Then sometimes I just find a whole bunch of stuff missing (Hence the Fairy referance LOL) and I don't know how to get my stuff back or make them leave. Although my goddess did get mad at the last batch of ghosts and sent them packing LOL I have no idea why our house is being haunted or why we seem always have things go wrong. I do know that my bros ex wanted to curse us (don't know why my bro is an excellent guy!) Now I don't know what to do to get rid of it all. Ummm did all that make any sense I guess I"m asking what do I do to get rid of them??

first off an opld hint for the fearie stealing items is to ring bells when things go missing.
As for the protection, the best thing I can say it cleansing and sheilding, however that is right for you. My way (and only my way not THE WAY) is to used sea salt and water mixed and blessed (by whatever I feel is appropriate at the time) and I draw runes, pentacles or similar protective signs on all of my doors, windows, mirrors and anything else that I feel needs protected. I also visulize sheilding. (yes I know I can't spell).
And I'm a rock hound so there are liberal amounts of hemitite in my house, as well as onyx, tigers eye, quartzes, .........er I could go on for a while. I have some basic stone stuff on the link above, from a couple of sources....and eventually I'll dig around and find the books that they came from!

I've used a dreamcatcher for my kids. As most people in the US perceive Native American traditions as just that.. traditions, instead of having a religious basis behind them, most Native American symbols are also seen as benevolent by those that are not so open minded. For some of the baptists (my mother's family is from the Bible belt, so I have seen this personally), they even perceive using or having Native American symbols as being more patriotic... *shrug* dunno.... I'm not closed minded so I can't even begin to try to explain it... I'm also on cold medicine and lots of teas for a severe head cold/ pre-sinus infection (trying to head it off at the pass)... so, forgive my babbing... please... :)

Depending on how old he is...have him draw his ideal of his protector whether it be Jesus or a superhero then have him post it above his bed or facing the window or door and tell him to look at it just before he goes to sleep and see his protector standing over him while he sleeps to keep all the baddies away...more of a psychological approach but still uses visualization as well...plus puts the power back in the boys hands
