I was flipping channels and the new carls jr commercial came on- I hate it so i went to change the channel. a "guest" said hey wait that chick is such a wench I wanna watch her wiggle on the desk!
I turned off the TV and explained why that wasn't a "kewl" comment and why I find that commercial so offensive. I have even written the company.

Am I just a weirdo? I don't think I am a prude at all. But that one just rings my bell! Why does a place that used to promote family when carl karcher was in charge now use blatent smut to sell burgers??? Not to mention that any girl who might have been getting used to her figure not thinks she has to have n0butt to be pretty. At least the origianal stupid song was saying being curvy was ok. ::tinfoil:

I agree, it's a stupid commercial...and the fact that it plays at least once every 1/2 hour on the only radio station that I listen to in the car (103.9)ticks me off too...that's when I change the channel to 99.1 (pop hip hop station), and I hate that station, lol.
I do agree with you though. When Carl Karcher was living, the commercials were not this bad. The last couple years you can tell who they are marketing to heavily...16-25 year old males. Makes me happy that I don't watch more regular tv than I do now (which consists of DVR'd CBS shows that I can fast forward through the commercials on).

PS, if anyone wondered, I mention the radio station numbers cause Misty is local to me, and would recognize them:)

I'm not offended by it, but I agree it's stupid and perpetuates this hip hop bullshit that does hand in hand that "the kids" know what's right and the "teacher" doesn't. It's the first time I've seen it here....

I don't like this ad, but then again, I'm certainly NOT their target market, so of course I don't "understand" it, to a degree.

That is a stupid add. Sadly, is not even the first one I saw from them. I'm gald that the rule of thumb in my house is "A commercial is on, the sound is off".
