I've been considering starting assembling products with http://www.magicalgift.com/ and was wondering if any of you ladies can tell me any thing about them.
I know that just about anyone can post a picture on their website and say that they have a store, but have any of you been to Torrington Ct and seen this place?
I'm working on finding out if the BBB has any complaints about them, but I thought I'd ask here too, a little more input never hurts right?

Website looks very 90's.

Any work-at-home situation where you have to pay costs upfront is likely to be questionable.

the BBB's website says they've been in business since '01, but their site says they've been doing this for 10 years so I dunno.

and that's Exactly the reason I'm checking them out...they can say the money'll be refunded all they want, but saying and doing are two completly different things.

My mom ordered a couple of their kits to try it out. She started with the sheep kit, and when she got it, it looked impossible to make quickly enough to make any money. She traded the sheep for the magical nest, thinking that might be easier, and thought it was horrible and tacky. I'm highly suspicious of make-at-home money-makers, it seems all of them have a catch...we've certainly never been able to find one that would actually pay well enough to be worth making the crafts...and that's if they weren't out and out scams. There is a website that checks out all these sort of sites, they talk about this one as well, with lots of testimonials from people who have actually worked them. www.WAHM.com

Here's a link to WAHM's discussion forum specifically on Magical Gifts (also known as New England Crafters) http://www.wahm.com/boards/Forum14/HTML/001010.html

Hope this helps!

I would be careful of this . If you need to ask is it legit it must bring questions to your mind. then it probably is not.
