Funny, my guy's tattoo gun is a homemade gun. It's amazing, he very obviously knew what he was doing when he built the thing. And it's actually quite lovely. The "trigger" is made from the end of a silver spoon that was his mother's. But the parlor is licensed, and so is the artist.

I know a couple of artists that have custom-made guns. But they are also in parlours with sanitation and stuff, ya know. The home-made part didn't get me. The knock-on-my-door-holding-the-gun-up-and-offering-a-tattoo did.
