I'd guess we have more than a few romance fans in here judging by other posts so i thought i'd see if anyone else was a Nora Roberts fan?
She's my favorite romance author and pretty much the only one whose books i KEEP.. i'm working on collecting them ALL *g*

i'd be really hard pressed to name a favorite but her recent "Midnight Bayou" was great and i love the cheasepeake bay series( i'm anxiously awaiting the 4th book's release in paperback).. and the donovans.. and the three sisters and well pretty much all of them (although some of her earliest aren't all that!) oh and the macgregors!!!!!! those rock 8)

anyone else?

Yeah, I'm kind of a Nora Roberts fan as well, although I usually don't like romance books! My Best friend introduced me to the Three Sister's Island trilogy last year and I was so excited when the third one came out last summer.
However, my biggest shock was in November, though. I'm finishing school on a scholarship given by the parents of a theatre student who died three weeks before her graduation about six years ago. Well, neither of us could make the planned dinner for scholarship gifters and giftees so we planned to meet for lunch before the show I was stage managing opened. I got to the table, and they just handed me the entire Donovan series. They had read my website (how they found it I have no idea), and my review of her and just brought me the books. Naturally, I devoured them right away.
If anyone is interseted in my reviews of Nora Roberts, or any of the rest of the odd books I read, my website is at http://www.geocities.com/copperphantom/books.html

Oh yes I love Nora Roberts... read almost anything of hers.

and I agree love all the books mentioned above and then some!

She also writes crime novels as J.D. Robb, my coworkers at the library devour those as well, but I have yet to be able to get into those. Maybe because when I read I prefer to be entertained, and crime type books just bore me... just me though lol.. I can be a bit odd. ( they are always amazed though when there are books I won't read since I devour books like M&M's!
Hugs, Ari

I keep meaning to try the JD Robb ones.. i hear theyre sci fi myseries?
problem being i have a low "ick" factor and get nightmares from reading suspenseful or frightening books (even some of her suspense romances have robbed me of a night of sleep!)

so how do they rate for a wuss like me?

I'm definitely NOT a romance novel fan, but even I like a Nora Roberts novel from time to time. I love the first ones about the Donovans (the ones about the cousins in Monterey...I forget what they're called). I read 'em over and over. Haven't tried Robb yet, but I keep looking at them in the bookstore.

i truly think that ms roberts is a VASTLY underappreciated author! her grasp of human nature and of humor are superb!

you're thinkign of Enchanted et al they're pretty good definately soem fo her earlier and stuff and slightly insulting to the pagan reader (i swear i'm going to write a romance novel delaing with the RELIGIOUS side of paganism!) but fun enough to make up for it...

i really reccomend Midnight Bayou! it's a veyr involving read with plenty of humor to keep thinsg form gettign too creepy (have i mentioned i'm a wuss?)

For any of those interested, Nora's got a new book coming out end of March -- BIRTHRIGHT, it's in hardback. Her latest JD Robb, PORTRAIT IN DEATH, is pretty awesome. I reviewed it for Romance Reviews Today, the review site I work for, and loved it -- as is per my usual for her.

She's doing a book tour for BIRTHRIGHT, and the schedule can viewed at www.noraroberts.com.
