"If I fight on in my campaign, all the way to the convention, I would forestall the launch of a national campaign and make it more likely that Senator Clinton or Obama would win. And in this time of war, I simply cannot let my campaign, be a part of aiding a surrender to terror"

What an asshole.

Yeah, well, Ron Paul is still in too, but I don't think that is going to matter much.

Um...isn't he supposed to want his side to win?

Or was he supposed to bow out and say "Go Hillary!!!"

Me too, assuming by "LOL" you mean "shake my head in disgust".

Sure, but saying "if I don't drop out then the terrorists win" is quite a feat of douchebaggery.

Each party plays to their strengths.

Yeah, Huck's still in -- for now.
Texas primary is next month.... the polls are going to be interesting.

I like how McCain tries to work with Democrats instead of against them. I think he'd be a great alternative to the more conservative Republicans.

I would love to see a McCain v Obama presidential race.

As would I.

Then the Dems might actually get my vote.

I just feel like they have the best chance of keeping the level of debate about the issues, and not resorting to mudslinging and crassness. I think in some ways it might serve to help heal a lot of the divisiveness that's been sown in the American mindset from the past 8 years of Bush's nonsense.

The Dems deserve at least some of the blame for that divisiveness too.

That's true :) I'm not willing to pin it on a specific party as having been worse than the other, I think it's pretty equal at this point, but I do lay a lot of issues squarely at Bush's door, which is why I named him specifically.

If that happened, my second graders decided Obama would win (we did a little simplistic version of the electoral college, and they got to vote.) :)
