I know many of us are battling to lose various amounts of weight, in various manners. This is the perfect forum for supporting one another.

Would anybody be interested in having a weekly "check in" type of thing here? We could start by posting where we're at and where we'd like to be. We could check in on a set day of the week just to kind of state where we're at and monitor each other's progress.

I guess it's kind of like an informal Weight Watchers type of idea. (Regardless of the methods used.) Maybe if we're checking in with each other, we would be held more accountable and can help each other out. I know I do better when I'm not going it alone, but I'm the only one in all of my friends that has any weight ot lose. I can't do it by myself!

Anybody interested in trying this?

Assuming we "start" this week, we should pick a day to post initial stats, any goals and maybe an idea of what approach is being taken towards reaching the goal.

OH! Maybe we can share tips that might help each other as well! ::yay::

I'm so happy I have all of you here! :-D

Should we begin by posting stats Wednesday and check in each subsequent Wednesday? I think Wednesday are good because if we slide a little on the weekend (like ciders at faire!), we have a couple of days to reign it back in.

Any other suggestions?

I'm in. ^_^ I've been losing weight since the beginning of January, and I still have 10 or so pounds to go.

Count me in! I started going to Weight Watchers in November. I even have before and so-far pictures!

That's the route I'm thinking of taking as well. I've done it before and it worked (when I stuck with it!)

No worries sweetie! Great minds think alike, right? :wink: And you and I can compare results on one of my visits up to Bristol this year! ::yay::

Wednesday check in works fine for me.

As for what I'm doing...sort of a modified Weight Watchers thing, as I'm counting points, but I didn't join. I'm keeping a daily food log, which is really helping me ALOT! This is week #6 for me with the watching what I eat and exercising 3-5 times per week.
