Okay...as the MOVE approaches, there are things to be done beforehand.

Some of you are aware that massive painting of house interior is on tap for this weekend (Nov. 1-2).

Anyone who would like to come up and make a mess (and boy, you should see all the paint and stuff I just bought!) are welcome to arrive at the new Maison de Moi <g>.

Feel free to PM me for address and details.

I'll be supplying food and some bevvies (anyone who wishes to purchase imbibables will happily be directed to the State Store and local distributor <g>).

Give us times, my love. I'm planning on being there, I just have to figure out if I can come both days or just one.

You need any texturing? I'm pretty darn good with sponging!

Well, I actually have to work until 2pm. One of my co-workers is planning on going over to the house early (Stephen will be doing 'troll patrol', so if anyone has kids and doesn't want them underfoot, the rancher will be Kid Central (I'll have him order pizza for lunch). I'm thinking she'll be over at the house around 9am, but I have to confirm.

I will be at the house around 9am on Sunday (and if anyone needs to stay overnight, crashing is allowed at the house)...and I figure we'll just paint 'till we drop.

The only treatment I'm doing in any of the rooms is I'm adding a texturing product to the paint in my room for a slight stucco effect and I'll be taking a soft brush to the paint in the kitchen to kind of get a subtle linen look (but in soft waved lines to give a hint of water movement).

Okay lady... put your hands in the air and step away from HGTV, or TLC, or whatever you've been watching! LOL

Unfortunately, I won't be able to get down to help paint, but I am going to do everything in my power to make the unpacking. Even if I just show up in the evening with refreshment.

And let me just say again, the house totally rocks!

So...what about puppies?

I'm pretty sure she'll be fine home, but I just wondered.

If they are detachable I want a pair.

I'll know what day(s) we will be there by tomorrow. And you already have us for the unpacking party.

It's all about Trading Spaces (and the BBC source, too <g>), baby!

Seriously, I did something similar in our very first apartment years ago and it came out faboo!

The stuff I bought just gets mixed into the paint and when rollered on, gives a subtle stucco/old plaster type effect. It'll enhance the bedding set (which you've seen -- the red and gold tapestry).

And gee, you like the house? Why am I not surprised?

I think it'll be a bit much for him -- herding kids (which is akin to herding wenches <g>)...plus, I don't think the cats would be up for being confined for the better part of two days and they're definitely not used to dogs. They'll probably be a bit freaked about the kids. :)

I like the house because it's a nifty house. No other reason, honest. :haloslip:

Of course it does -- bring suits!

I talked to my co-worker and at this point, she's anticipating being able to be at the house no later than 11 am to get things rolling along while I'm finishing up Saturday duty. I should be there no later than 3 pm -- we'll order pizza then and I think I'll order one of those long subs for dinner Saturday/lunch Sunday. I'll supply soda...if anyone wants to bring anything stronger, feel free.

(oh, if anyone has a portable CD player, can you bring it?)

I'm bringing over the coffee maker, so there will also be coffee, especially for Sunday morning.

Salad's in the fridge.

I picked up some more supplies (and the paint for Daniel's room) at Home Depot last night.

I'll be there tonight and tomorrow night -- a friend from work is coming over tonight and whoever can show up the next two nights will be happily appreciated. :)

Y'all just give me an idea as to if and when you can make it and we'll go from there. I still have soda in the fridge and we can always get more pizza.

I expect the pizza place to award me their 'Customer of the Year' award any day now. :) :)

If not now then definately in 2 weeks...

I'll have Zach, but maybe I'll just leave him with the boys. Is that ok?

That'll be fine. If you want, I can even have them make sure Zach takes a bath before you pick him up (so you don't have to do that once you get home when he's tired). Bring sweats or jammies and when you guys pick him up, he'll be all ready to get tucked in. :)

I have chocolate scented shampoo, even......

Sounds good. I'll leave moeny with the boys to order dinner. Tell them to expect me about 6:15.

Chocolate scented shampoo? Yummmm!!!

Ysobelle - Thanks, he is quite adorable isn't he? How did I get a kid who is not only cute but well behaved too?

I'll let them know.

I've already put them on alert that they might have to help with shampooing. :)

Is pizza good for everyone again, or should I order Chinese? (I mean the grown ups....)

Ysobelle
11-05-2003, 02:45 PM
(Laughing) I only just finished that pizza, you know!

I'd be up for either, love. I'll lean towards Chinese, but it's up to you.

Oh, and The Blond seems amenable to my schlepping him with, so expect both of us!

Caitriona

I truthfully don't care.

And Zach does shampoo his own hair, but they may want to keep an eye on splashing.

Actually I think she was saying that if anyone could both drool and giggle it would be Reaver.

Now are you saying that I'm not both cute and smart????

Lavender has been replaced with sky blue.

Hm. I think I should remain neutral, on further thought, and merely say that if anyone could giggle and drool at the same time, it would be some of the fine Rogues associated with our circle of friends.

How's that?

I'm basic black all the way, Rho. Had the thing three/four? years now, and tags are still intact. I keep taking it places, and never using it!

All kidding aside, I DO miss faire, I always do, but I also kind of like having time off with The Blond. Not a lot of it, but enough to plan a dinner or a movie or, best of all, nothing at all.

Of course, I spent a chunk of today with my brother-in-law the financial planner, which was VERY depressing, but motivating. If I can make 21 corsets a month, I'm set.

Ok Betty Darling.try this on for size...... granted, it was Friday night but depressing none the less. Spending the evening searching for a good irish pub with a good irish band playing irish drinking songs..... and ending up in a nice pub where the entertainment was a guy with an ACCORDIAN playing Margaritaville!!!! To top it off.... chris works the whole weekend!
