Anyone visit the new island? I logged on as Fairbanks last night for the first time in ages (been playing Capistrano exclusively for the past few months).

Big mistake!!! There were about a thousand players all hanging out right there where the griffon lands. After dealing with the massive lag (and players wanting to PvP amidst the chaos) the server crashed.

And then it crashed again ten minutes after it came back up.

Might need to wait a few weeks until the novelty wears off. Nice to have somewhere new to go, though.

8-)

Yeah, it was PVP central down there. I had fun in the new instance, but my anger at other things got the best of me and we had to stop midway. It's a really good instance though, give it a shot.

I cant get there, because I'm too low leve, and I don't know where it is yet. I'm horrible about reading the patch notes. Anyways, I heard nothing but lag lag lag from anyone who went. Last night on Hydraxis, apparently there was a huge horde vs. alliance war going on there. It took my boyfriend forever just to get the flight path and come back to Tanaris, mostly because of the lag.

The novelty will wear off soon enough... But hey, cool for the 70's that have already seen it all.

My hordies are too low level for this sort of thing. :) I also avoid new shiny things in WoW because I know I'll just crash out.

I have yet to go there, but I heard one of my guildies on skullcrusher died the minute he landed... he's lvl 65... lol

Bronzebeard was a little laggy, but not awful. The new instance seems to be placed around Shattered Halls for some of the pulls, but the bosses go from "meh" to "W T F JUSTHITME?!?!" in rapid order.

What's sad is that all the tanks who can do it have already moved on to the heroic mode, and so finding ones for regular to grind rep is going to be a fairly shitty experience. Same thing with healers.

The new daily quests are interesting, and you can check on how close ya'll are to unlocking the Badge Vendor (SQUEEE!!! NEW GEAR!!!) and other content via the guys in Shat. and right at the Staging Area.

I wasn't really super excited about anything except the new badge gear, and it's not going to be an immediate gratification on that, so....eh. It's coolish. I'm just really...REALLY glad I'm now on a PvE realm.

And KATE! Please read the patch notes, even if it's only for your class and the "general" stuff :( Yeah, they're boring, but they do have info you need to know xP

Yeah, the lvl 68-70 mobs are *RIGHTONTOPOFYOU* when you land, pretty much. And if it's not mobs, then it's other players :(
