lemme be the one to exclaim, loudly, that I LOVE Walmart's dollar racks!!!

I found fine cotton muslin on sale at a dollar a yard tonight. WHEEEE! :bananada: in bleached and unbleached form.

Unfortunately, I was short funded, so I bought six yards of the bleached, and threw the bolt of unbleached behind some others to return for tomorrow, hopefully.I don't need it now, but I will. We always do. Let's not mention the faboo heavy twill ... almost denim weight I got at JoAnn's for 96 cents a yard two days ago. the prettiest shade of blueish gray... my new cloak is sitting in panels on my table right now. :cheer:

I'm getting cocky, though. I'm actually eyeing the pricey fabrics and thinking, "This would make a great nobles gown...."

:hmm:

I think I could do it. I really do.

Quick! Talk me down. I don't really want to hurt myself. Really.

Tee hee! Too fun! I admit, I've hidden a bolt of fabric or two in my lifetime... :D

It's your fault!!!! All your fault!!!!!
Okay, I'm better now. I used t work at Hancok fabrics and 'hidden' bolts used to frive me nuts.
Of course, that's how I got my nice Elizabethan gown for free. They handed me the pattern and said, "We want a model of this for the store beacuse the Ren faire is coming up in a few weeks. you can pick any fabrick and notions you want. Leave it on display for three months and then you can have it.
I must have used about $300 of fabric and notions on that dress. Blue embroidered skirt and epeletts, black velveteen bodice, silver argandy blouse, silver lace and trim ALLLL over it.
*drool* I love it, even if I do never wear it. I'm a commoner and wench and gypsy through and through! just nice to have, though.[/quote]

*grin* I've worked more than my fair share of retail in my lifetime... I know what you mean about stuff being put back in the wrong place. I've only hidden *really really* good bolts of fabric. ;)

WOW--awesome about the model dress!!!! That's the way to go! :)
