Elections!

Ladies,

I just received and e-mail from Lars. It is time for elections for Local 13. :bananada:
For those who are unsure of how to go about this...read what follows.

"You gals are all a year over-due for elections. Any candidates should forward letters of intent to my e-mail ASAP. I will notify the new GM. Give the gals a chance to absorb the candidates messages, so once the nominees are set, they all have a week to post and the vote should occur one month from the first post." (Quote from Lars)

I believe we need to send the nominees for Local Madame and Lieutenant Madame to Lars and then we can post on the Election site after that with his approval. If you do not have Lars' e-mail address, contact me and I woudl be happy to get it to you.

So start sending who you wish to nominate. The rules about who can run for what are located on www.wench.org/about/electoral.php

Let's have fun, get organized and show what this local can do!

Ok guys, Lars instructions are to send him the Statement of Purpose for those running and please send him the nominations. Then the nominees need to post their platform and the voting commences. Before we post, I have asked Lars 3 questions:
1. Where do we post? Here or on the election page
2. How do we vote?
3. Who counts the votes? Lars, A Rogue, a disinterested party....

As soon as we have those answers we are on our way.

I just wanted to let you guys know the ball is still rolling and at this time actiually gathering speed. :bananada:

How do we go about nominating someone, e-mail Lars? Who seconds the nominee and how do we go about that?


When do they have to be in by? Any specific date we are working on?

I am going to try and get this ball rolling:
1. Send Nominations to Lars
2. If you are nominated, send your intention or statement to Lars as well
3. After that, Nominees must post their platforms on Local 13 in the provide post and on the election site on the provided post
4. After all nominees have posted, we have 1 month to vote.
5. Send votes to Lars preferably via e-mail but you can also use snail mail. "1. Post on both, hon. Election info needs to be broad-shot.
2. If voting will be don on written ballot, a local third party needs to be assigned (probably by my office) to collect, tabulate, and then Priority Mail me the votes to my office for verification. If voting electronically, all votes need to be sent to my e-mail: 1 wench (by ID#) - 1 vote."

I say we send them to Lars.

I have recieved several questions of where to vote and where to send your nominees if you haven't already.

All should be sent to Lars. His email is on the first page. If you have any comments or questions about the election, the process or about the platforms, please post them here. That will ensure that everyone knows this is an honest and above board election.

Cool, that is great. Post wherever else you think is necessary. Isa has received the list of wenches in teh Local 13 to contact them about elections, but the list is incomplete and we would like everyone involved.

Hey Guys,

I just heard from Lars. I was impatient and asked him when the votes needed to be in by. I want to start "officially" playing in Local 13.

He responded with

"December 30th, my sweet. Get everyone in who can by then, as the winner is announced New Years Day. Coolio?"

So spread the word to make sure everyone you know has casted their votes and such by that time.
