So I'm getting an itch to practice music with people again, and I was wondering if there was anyone out there in the Columbus Ohio area who is interested in getting a group together to just play/sing about once a week. Just for fun.
I am interested in accoustic music, mostly because this will probably be held in my tiny apartment. What I am interested in is folk music, ie traditional peices, and Jazz. Currently I'm doing mostly scotch/irish peices with some english and welsh, ranging from about 1750 back to 12 century. _But_ I am open to suggestions, instruments etc.
Beginers are welcome, I'm not a pro by any stretch of the imagination. I'd like to have a place where we can teach each other songs, as well as theory and technique and critique.
