The 77-year-old, who has launched a successful second career as a photographer, hopes The Full Body Project will help larger ladies come to terms with their bodies, and resist the pressure to slim.
He writes in the preface, "The average American woman weighs 25 per cent more than the models wearing the clothes marketed to her.
"There is a huge industry built up around selling women ways to get their bodies closer to a fantasy ideal.
"The women in these pages are proudly wearing their own skins. They accept and respect themselves and I hope that my images convey that feeling to others."

Have you seen his photographs? They are amazing. HE's done a series on Judiaism and also a series of nudes among others. I can't wait to see how these come out.

I love his work and these should be great. I only wish the young girls and the men who photograph them and make them feel like they must be waif-like can appreciate it also.

I wish I had the funds to buy his book..I have seen some of the photos and they are so classy and beautiful.

I do hope he assists in helping change world views of how beautiful women of size are.

He was in Graig Fergurson not to long ago discussing his book.... Graig was confused and very interested at the same time....Graig doesn't use the notes he is given when he interviews he asks regular questions.

Those pictures are great, almost makes me want to strip down and have pictures taken for the DH who I will not see for atleast 6 months after next weekend.

I recently started a thread on disussion board about hangups about nudity and swimwear on another disussion group that I am on. The concensus of the group was that it is more about self esteem than it is about what other people think. The DH is also on that board and he made a comment about the topic being interesting and the he liked seeing his wife nekid.

I hope this project of spock's will help more women of size find their self esteem and realize that regardless of shape, size, or color we are all different, unique, and beautiful.
