the other day I had to make a trip to rescue my fiance who's car broke down near Astoria OR, I took a few pics. The first one is the little corner store that was used in goonies and across the street is the tennis court used in the movie (now it's a coffee house) the second one is the statue where the van turned in short circuit by the bridge where the robot flew off (used to be a toll bridge) enjoy

I've always wanted to go to Astoria! Goonies is one of my favorite movies! :-D

I had a terrible time "getting into" The Dark Knight because most of it was filmed in Chicago, right near my office. I spent most of last summer dodging filming trailers on my walk from the train.

In the last one, they put CGI tops on a lot of familiar buildings, so it wasn't that bad. But as an example - they come up from the big chase scene on Lower Wacker - I mean "Lower Fifth" - and all I can think is "oh - that's right by the nearest KFC to my office. Now I want fried chicken...."
