and off to the flea market we go. I wonder what kinds of things we'll find. My question is: Does anyone sell Mexican vanilla at this flea market? I have plenty on hand but will eventually be needing a source and yes, one can obtain it online but would like a local source, if possible.

Since I don't know which flea market you're talking about, no way I can tell you whether or not you can get Mexican vanilla there.

However, there is a growing Mexican population in Charlotte. There are several mercados that specialize in Mexican and hispanic foods. I'd suggest letting your fingers do the walking in the yellow pages.

To not mention which flea market we were attending was rather stupid of me. Well anyway, we went to the one at the state fairgrounds in Raleigh. While i was there I didn't see any Mexican vanilla but I forgot to look. Maybe I was too intent on sampling that fried Twinkie I 've heard about. I have enough to last another 6 months or so, so I"m not in a big hurry for it. Flea markets and Mexican vanilla are just one of my unique associations.
