View Full Version : Yule plus movies
Ok,
Rae and I were sitting in front of the Chiminea (Outside Fire) last night and were pondering the weekend of the 20th. Since most of us will be going to McKinney for Yule we thought maybe on the 21st we could do our own movie marathon. Between Sir Thomas and Rae, we can set up our own little movie theatre. On the 21st, after everyone wakes up, we could watch the extended versions of the Lord of the Rings and Two Towers and then finish it off with going to Return of the King.
Any takers? What do you think of THIS idea?

Although we will be there for the Yule...We wish we could join you for the 21st but...
I just found out that the Captains parents are coming in from Florida that day and we will have to bow out of any gatherings 'til after the New Years :?
Still looking forward to the FABRIC DISTRICT Invasion in January :!:

Will miss you Isa!
Good luck with the family. As much as I love mine, a long extended visit can be ....... difficult at times.
This sounds fun.

Shadow will call Kevin this weekend to settle the time etc for the dvd viewings...
Make sure he calls Rae's cell phone. We have a very active weekend planned. It starts with the reletive invasion tonight. Then we invade my sisters, so she can babysit the kiddos so we can go to an office holiday party. Then lessons for the liitle red head and so on and so on.
Just a typical weekend for us.

Shadow is bringing double chocolate brownies and I am bringing little smokies....Does Colleen needs us to bring plates? or an extension cord or power bar to plug in my crockpot?
e might want to bring some of that stuff. Maybe if we each brought some plastic ware it wouldn't be so bad!

Okay how about we all bring our own plates etc...so our hostess isnt overwhelmed by it all...how does that sound?
There is and opportunity to see Return of the King on Imax on Sunday night. It starts at 6:15 but tickets are $11. Or we can see it on the regular screen at 6 or at 7 for regular ticket prices.
Any preferences?

I vote for IMAX. Saw it on another screen first night. Fabulous battle scenes will be HUGE on IMAX.

We got to see the first on and half of the second before we caravaned over to IMAX for the final...it was WONDERFUL!...they sold out right after Shadow and I got our tickets for the 615pm showing and we got our tickets before 11am....we had a great time and it was extremely nice of Rae and Kae to host the viewing party...
Thank you Nevada, but it wasn't nice just selfish. We were able to spend more time with our friends this holiday season.
I want to tell everyone how nice a time we had last weekend and to also thank you for allowing me to share my birthday with wonderful new friends and great old friends on Yule.
It was fantastic!
