Well, it's justice delayed, but the "Juice" finally got squeezed. He was found guilty today in a Las Vegas courtroom of kidnapping and armed robbery. He could spend his life in jail, but of course will appeal the verdict. He will be sentenced in early December and until then will be cooling his heels in a Las Vegas jail cell.
The story on Yahoo basically said that while this crime and the murder of his exwife Nicole are completely unrelated, to most of the country - and these jurors in particular - this is fitting justice for a man who got away with murder.
Apparently even OJ knew he'd screwed himself this time as he was quoted as saying he knew he wasn't going to get to see his kids graduate from college after he'd "managed" to put them through. My immediate thoughts were "whaaaaaaa - hey buddy, neither can their mother cuz you killed her!" And "managed" to put them through college - good lord - he's never paid the monetary judgement to the Browns or the Goldman's claiming he was broke when everyone knows he had millions shuffled to accounts in the Cayman's and Switzerland during the last trial.
I can't imagine what it's like to be the Simpson kids - how royally screwed up must they be? Commentary over the years has been that both of them are keenly aware they father murdered their mother - yet they were forced by the courts to life with him.
I know we're not supposed to consider past crimes in the judication of current ones, but in this case it's just just Karma!

It's about time. That asshat needs to rot in prison for the rest of his miserable life.

Just a little FYI ---
he was found guilty 13 years to the day after being acquitted for Nicole's murder.
I knew I liked the number 13 for a few reasons.

That's why he moved to Florida because Florida will not garnish retirement funds. He lived off of his retirement and other assets that coulld not go to the victim's families.
If he were creally clever, he would have cut his losses and stayed in Florida but he thinks he's above the law. Just because he's rich does not mean he's smart.

Just to be precise, the benefit of living in Florida is that Florida has a very liberal "homestead exemption" law which basically says that a person can not be forced to sell his home to satisfy the demand of creditors. In Florida, this protection applies before and after death and has no limit.
So basically, if you anticipate getting hosed in civil litigation, you sink all your money into as big a mansion as you can buy and the asset enjoys absolute protection. Then when you die it can safely be distributed to your heirs who can then liquidate the asset and take the proceeds in cash and your creditors can't touch the money.
The downside is that your liquidity gets practically eliminated, but you can often use your 100% equity stake in the property (since you paid cash for it) to get some kind of home equity line of credit to live off of and let your estate worry about paying it off after you die.
His income from his NFL pension is protected from creditors by federal law, so that would be safe no matter what state he lived in.
I doubt he stashed any money in Swiss or Cayman bank accounts because, A) at the time he probably spent most of his cash reserves on the murder trial, and 2) thanks to Florida and his pension, he doesn't need to hide any assets.

You watched the whole OJ murder trial didn't you?
Where'd you learn that?

The NFL Pension thing I had heard about in the news during the civil trial. He gets a really good income from the pension. I forget the exact number now, but I recall it being something like in the lower-middle 5 figures a month. $30K maybe?
The Florida homestead protection information I actually heard about during someone else's trial... one of the corrupt Tyco executives I believe. The guy bought something like a $17 million mansion in Florida to cover his ass.
