There's actually a good sized group of wenches and rogues out in Tampa... the Bay Area Faire at MOSI is quite a nice one: a tent faire, but well set up, good cast, and good acts. (I visited for a weekend, last March)
However, I don't know that many or most of them post here much. Try the boards at http://www.renaissancefestival.com/

I live in Coral Springs (think: near Ft Lauderdale) and the local faire is FLARF, in Deerfield Beach. I think I'm the only wench in this area: lonely for me, since I moved here from MDRF, where there's a huge and very active group of friends and acquaintances that I miss a lot.
