There seems to be a virus living within the walls of MySpace. This virus changes your desktop wallpaper to reflect a message that a spyware threat has been detected on your pc. Error messages also consistantly pop up from your system tray. Click on any of these messages and you are taken to a website to download supposed anti-spyware software however the file is actually a rogue file that can cause further damage.
If you are attacked:
Download Malwarebytes, (http://www.download.com/Malwarebytes-Anti-Malware/3000-8022_4-10804572.htm) a free program from a known and safe download site. Save the file to your desktop. Then click the .exe file to install. Leave the check mark in place at the prompt to update the software. Once installed, run a thorough scan to find and remove the infected files. Then restart your pc.
