Hi Gayle....welcome to Local 9!

I can't believe Ysobelle didn't mention that we've got a yahoo group called the Musettes that you can join to keep up with all the news.... and there there is The Wenches Pride... our pirate ship under the Captianship of Nathanial Red Raven...just setting sail this year. We've got a group for that too....can't remember exactly what it is called at the moment.

I'm in Harrisburg, not close to you... but I'm sure we'll meet up at some point.

WOOHOO! My 1200th post! I really do need a decent hobby....

Hi Gayle....welcome to Local 9!

I can't believe Ysobelle didn't mention that we've got a yahoo group called the Musettes that you can join to keep up with all the news....

:pfft:

I didn't mention it because our newest Wench has already found the list! Remember, we have a sticky at the top of the Local #9 forum to announce it. We're all smart! Wooty woot!

So Gayle, tell us about yourself! How long've you been a Wench? And you will come to Alanna's party, listed elsewhere in this very forum, right? (That party IS still on, right, Alanna?)

Which reminds me, all: the end of the JoMar sale draws apace. Who's still interested? Say, next weekend? Saturday, perhaps?

Wow, Thanks for all the terrific welcomes into the group :D Like I said I am new to PA and no absolutely no one here yet :( Now I at least feel a bit welcomed to the area. :D I am 28 married with one child. But nothing holds me back from having fun lol at least my other half is fine with whatever I do or whomever I do for that matter  He is a good guy and a rennie himself. First off to answer Muffins Question, I am originally from Toms River, NJ and have lived there all my life up until now so I feel lost lol. ShawnMarie I am sure we will run into each other I am 55 mins away from the PARF. Give or take a few mins so I plan on going there a lot during the season. I have been going to faires for about 6 years now. I became a wench 2 seasons :) but I was a bad wench for the first year due to me being pregnant at that time with my first child. My sons name is Tristin. This year I got to participate a bit and spend time with Aries and her husband Draco and Rocket from the NYRF. Love those people hopefully I will get to visit the NY one at least once next season. I also just started to use the forum myself but I use to just hop on the check out all the goings on with local 69. I would love to come to the party at Alanna's (hello by the way if you read this) I just do not have the foggiest Idea as to where it is, the date or the time. But I would adore meeting all of you. Well, before I write a bigger book then I have lol I am going to get to bed since it is late. Thanks again

Gayle,

I'm late on this, but I'm also a transplanted 69 Local. Moved to the Philly metro area (Montgomery County) about 15 months ago from northwest NJ.

I still get lost, so don't feel bad.

Nikki's isn't that terribly far from you, and she's been mentioning about having a Stitch n Bitch soon, so we can swap...ahem....69 stories. :D

Hello!

I've been lurking on this board for a few days, feeling the
time wasn't right to introduce myself because I'm knee deep in art stuff's to take to the Fairie Festial in May.
But I am finally winding down for a "catch up on me weekend".
So now is as good a time as any!
My name is Ina (Business is: Courting the Muse)
I live in Newmanstown.
I make faeries and goblins and work with (bronze, glass & clay)- in fact Alan and Annie Brodrick
are who set me on good path with glass... they used to be at the PARF...
In any case... We have a few friends and family that are invloved with PARF and I've heard many great things about it.
My daughter and I, are anxious for your season to begin (goes without saying right?)
so we can see for ourself and hopefully become invloved in faire life- in some way.
In wandering around the internet looking for info- I've found some very friendly folks and was pointed here! So here I am.
Yes, anther green leaf. But the more the merrier!
I've learned some wonderful things already, just be browsing the discussion forums, and wanted to thank
you all for being so generous with your expeirence.
If any of you would be going to the Fairie Fest at Spoutwood Wood farm please make it a point
to find the Courting the Muse booth and introduce yourself- we can't wait to meet you!
It looks like some of the vendors there are also merchants at the faire so I'm pretty happy!
I do have questions but I'm jotting them down as they spring up and trying to find the answer in the forum before posting.
Just wanted to poke my head up! We want to find out where all the locals are and catch up with you!
Your welcome to IM me on aol (theferalfaerie) or email at ina@courtingthemuse.com
with any info or late commer news you feel I would be interested in- and of course- if you are organzing any events and
look for items to auctions, doorprize, raffle- let me know I do like to participate!

See you soon! :bananada:

Holy COW, Ina-- your stuff is GORGEOUS! I'm just stunned. Are you going to be vending at PARF as well?

And now I know who t'was who just joined our discussion list. Welcome!

Please feel free to throw out any questions that you want to ask. We're a fairly open bunch hereabouts, and new Wenches are always welcome.

I look forward to meeting you at PARF!

Thank you for the compliment on the faeries... I won't have a place of my own at mt hope- ( I really thought they frowned on the fantasy market)
I was extended an invitation by Tom Roy & Deb Pittenger to sell some faeries in her booth this season ( I was hit by a truck and it rolled my suv into on comming traffic- that'll slow a person down to a low roar in making one of a kind figures- so until I have a healthy stock and mended bod- I don't want to bite off more than I can chew ). But I think it will be great in any capacity! And Deb's a great friend to see my situation and guide me along the path...
I had a cold -something ugly going around- and I'm catching up on emails & happenings here on the boards. I see you all are getting reading to meet and work on a project garden? I guess I need to send my loot to the guild so I can get involved! :o)
In any case- I'll get in gear and do my thing to be "official" and keep an eye out for meetings so I can catch up with your locals before the season starts and everyones tied up in a flurry of activities!

Thanks again & I hope to see you at the Faerie Fest!
Ina

Greetings to Local 9'ers!
Alianore DeClare, here, a Local 69'er. I'll be attending PARF (PARF virgin) on Fling w'end this year with a couple of partners in crime in tow. Hope to meet and hoist a few with the wonderful wenches of Local 9! Perhaps participate in a walk or two? *Clears her throat in readiness of singing.* BTW, what IS Local 9's song of choice on wench walks? Would like to be able to at least hum along....
Can anyone tell me which booth is the wench's Hostel, and the best pub to fling my coins down at for meade? How about shows?
As for the merchant booths, as a REAPer, I suspect no difficulty sniffing out the good ones....
Thanks for any info.
Cha Cha's to all.... :hearts:

Hey! I'll be at PARF opening weekend sweetie, make sure you look for me, and hate to say it but with no pic I'm not exactley sure who ya are.....sorry, but I'd love to put a face to your name again!

Not sure if you already know (it didn't seem it in your post) but I lost my husband Draco on April 3rd to pancreatic cancer, but his spirit will be there with me.

I have to go and try to remove the lump in my throat now....

Aries, luv - Have tried to make a photo small enough to fit the avatar size, but it comes out so fuzzy you wouldn't be able to recognize me anyway. Will keep trying, though. I don't have a digital camera, which I suspect would be of help there. Anyway, will be sure to make my presence known at the upcoming Twin Lakes BBQ.

Gayle,

I still get lost, so don't feel bad.

Nikki's isn't that terribly far from you, and she's been mentioning about having a Stitch n Bitch soon, so we can swap...ahem....69 stories. :D

I lived there for 15 years (about 14 miles up the road from alianne) and still got lost. In fact, I got lost trying to get to Faire. Bah!
