Okies, since we have /so/ much discussion on this, I'm suggesting we start the conversation on "Who do we support?" I've spoken with Misty, and she agrees that we need to start the discussion now, so we know what we are working with before we get Locations and Food. :)
If Susan G Komen is already supported by Local 42, and we want to do our own spin, who would you like to see Local 96 Support?
I've already seen posts about Several foundations, and we need to limit them.
Sooo... please post (to this list or to me privately) your Top 3 charitable orginizations in order of importance.
They can be National (The National Leukemia Foundation), Local (The NC Carnivores Habitat Fund), International (The NC Zoo who donates money to places like the Kabul Zoo and the Iraq Zoo) or a little of Both.
If you are posting about an orginization, which other members may not find familiar, please include a little blurb about who they are and what they do.
I'll accept posts until 01-26 (since we all know that if we don't do it now.... an extra 7 days isn't going to help ;p ) and tabulate the answers by 01/28. Then I'll post the top 10 on 01/28, accept votes until 02/14/04 and we will reveal the top Charity at the 02/21 meeting in Rock Hill.
So... clean out your e-mail box and discuss Ladies ;)
