Anyone traveling to faires outside of New England this year?

I may be heading out to New York and perhaps Maryland and Pennsylvania (have families in the areas). Try as I might, I just cannot afford Arizona this year :cry:

Don't feel bad, I was hoping to go to one or two of the NY faires this year along with ME and VT. Now, I have heard that VT may not be running this year due to them moving, but I can't make it to any others :tantrum: because I have no car, and can't afford to constantly be renting a car and paying for a hotel room. Gets kinda pricey. :sigh:
Well, I guess I'll have to wait until next year............or cross my fingers on winning the lottery! :hmm:

*G* I'm just barely in NE, so NYRF (Tux) and NJRK are fairly close for me. MERF is the one that I'm hoping to get to again. I'll be taking a one week seminar in Maine this summer and am hoping that the seminar dates will coincide so that I can visit the faire the weekends before and after. I'd love to make it to Sterling (not Tux) this year (I visited in 1999 and 2000), but doubt if time and budget will allow this year. MDRF for Labor day weekend is somewhat of a possibility. Thus far, my definites are Stockwood, NJRK, NYRF (Tux) and PCRF.

I'll be heading to Tux, possibly NJ, definitely Maryland.

I've already gone to Stockwood for both weekends. My next trip out of state for a faire is next weekend to southern NJ for a small one called Mystic Realms. My swordfighting troupe got the invite to work there.

As for being a playtron, it'll most likely be Park City Ren Faire in July, then possibly Tux in August, and then Maryland in September.
