LOL You're right only in a Wench house.

The sleep threat doesn't work on mine. When he's involved in a new project he won't sleep till it's all done.

Mine would just reply: I know or maybe a week and a half.

Not precisely chainmail, but with mine, I've just given up. "Are you coming to bed/doing the laundry/etc?"
"Mmm.... I just have to finish this one thing..."
"Ok." Then I go to bed, or go do it myself. Then, the next morning or when he's done, he feels bad and I get way less work to do.

In our home, it's me saying I'm going to bed now. It's almost midnight. Come to bed at a decent hour! or Come to bed after you finish creating your critter (Spore).
I ask him the next morning, so, what time did you get to bed? Um... around 3.

My SIL is a WoW guy! They finally set up Wednesday as his nite. No chores, cuddling, dishes, babe, etc. He gets to play from the time she gets home from work as long as he wants too. That was the only way she could ever see him. When he gets home from work he puts the baby in his swing right next to the computer.

off topic, this summer my rogue, not knowing anything about it, got me spore creature creator. i looked at getting Spore when it came out, but i didn't want to pay $50 for it and then the reviews i saw said it was "eh". but he likes it? i'd be interested in an opinion of it.
my rogue got me creature creator 'cause i like my goofy little nintendog ds game, and i like designing tihngs in roller coaster tycoon (i'm such a dork - even for gamers;-) ). spore looks to me kinda like age of empires w/ little made up creature. is that kinda the idea?

spore looks to me kinda like age of empires w/ little made up creature. is that kinda the idea? Ok I'll accept the thread jack and run with it for a second. I have spore and it is multifaceted and fun. A lot of people say it's kinda "meh" but I think it just got overhyped and had a lot to live up to. That being said I'll just tell you what it is and let you decide.

Stage 1 - You make a single celled organism, not a lot of choices but you gather more parts as you go. The game at this point is to eat food and avoid bigger things that want to eat you sort of like that fish pond flash game from years ago. It is very relaxing somehow and goes by quick.

Stage 2- You grow legs and crawl onto land. This stage is where you build your "creature." Gameplay in this stage is very similar to WoW but very scaled back. You control your creature and have missions to befriend certain species and kill off others depending on if you're a herbivore, carnivore, or omnivore. You collect more parts throughout.

Stage 3- Tribe Stage- Now you control a small village of your creatures and collect clothing to put on them to boost their stats while you make war or allies with neighboring tribes. This is where it's like Age of Empires as you have resource collecting and managment to consider also.

Stage 4 - Now you have a large city full of creatures. You design buildings, boats, and cars for your creatures but you no longer control them. You control the cars/boats. You just mangage the creatures' happiness as a society and try to win over other cities until you control the whole planet.

Stage 5- Space! I haven't gotten here myself yet. But from watching my fiance' play, I know you get to build spaceships and go make war with the species on other planets.

I like it alot and the gameplay changes enough to keep me interested though my favorite part is all the building and designing.

What do you think now?

um honey I wasn't really talking about sleeping......*rotfl*Well in that case....::doh::
