 Sorry, I had to do it... it was just too tempting... a new forum, and no posts listed... I guess I should talk about something Health related, ne?
Anyway, I'm about to embark on my personal-fitness journey. A friend has offered to teach the gals of ROSK to bellydance, and I'm helping her organize the time/place. I'm so excited. I've got the Veena/Neena videos, and I'm getting the hang of the hip movements, but the shoulder movements and neckslides have been eluding me. I learn better with a knowledgable spotter/teacher.
I've really missed having a physical activity since I hurt my hands and can't hold a blade anymore. The wonderful Ring of Steel people are trying to find me a weapon I can hold, but we've had no luck so far. (My hands pop open on me when I try to hold a sword the right way. grumble. stupid tendonitis.) Dancing will be a nice alternative.
Besides, I had a chat with my doctor recently, and I've been warned that if my weight keeps going up, my insulin levels are just going to get wackier and keep messing with my hormones, but I just hate excercising without some purpose. Weight machines aren't for me; I need an activity like dancing or swordplay or walking to a destination. Here's hoping I can get myself back to a healthy level of leg/arm muscles. ^_^
