It looks like Guild & I won't make it to Colorado this year. In order to avoid hitting some dogs (which are NOT allowed in our complex, let me add) that were running around unleashed, Guild swerved and hit a pole, ruining our front quarter panel to the tune of $860. *sigh* Soi...Colorado has to wait until next year. But we will go to Grand Junction.

AUGH!

Did you have words with the dogs' owner? Shouldn't he/she be liable for part of the damage? Or your complex?

I love my dog, I do NOT let her roam offleash.

We love dogs too. The owners are too little snippy college girls who were reported to management (after Guild had his say). They said it's not the first time & eviction is inevitable.

 That makes me very sad....not only that you can't make it but that because someone else's irresponsibility is now your burden! I LOATHE irresponsible pet owners!

We will definitely see you in Grand Junction.

Are you going to go after them? Or, rather, let your insurance company go after them? I'm sure your complex would love to help, as it gives them a papertrail for eviction. Hm. PM Alianne-- she's an insurance adjustor, and I bet she'd be able to tell you exactly how that works.

Well, we talked about it and decided that with the deductible (and MEGA taxes we just got back--over$5000) we're just going to fix it without legal pursuit. For one, Guild has no witnesses. For two, we just moved here & it's been stressful enough for all of us. We just want to move on & wait for karma to take over.

*sigh* I'm sorry sweetie--we were looking forward to meeting you, I understand the big unexpected bill thing--my cat had to make an emergency trip to the vet Sunday night, and so far it's all run up about $1000.

::looks down at purring, now-healthy kitty and decides he's worth $1000::

I will try to make it to Grand Junction this year to meet up with you and Lady J, however!

Lady J & Magdalene,

We'll definately see you both in Grand Junction. And next year we're hitting Colorado for certain.

Magdalene, so sorry to hear your kitty was ill, but oh those lil fuzzy babies are worth every dime, aren't they?
