After *checks calender here* 15 years...I'm coming back to good ol' NE! :bananada:

The Rogue and I are moving to Boston! For the next 4 years, anyways, while he completes his residency.

So I'm wondering, does anyone have a good recommendation for a bank? I know Fleet is the biggie, but I wondered if anyone had good or horrible experiences with Fleet or any other bank. And what are the most popular credit unions? This inquiring mind wants to know.

We'll be moving in June, so Hammond Castle...here I come!

Cheers,

Ahm... Fleet's being eaten by Bank America soon. Right now I know Fleet charges you to talk to an employee. They charge you for damn near /everything/, but I don't know about Bank of America's policies. You may be stuck with them in general.

Welcome Back!

There's Sovereign that's a local but they do not participate in the SUM network (highly recommended to find SUM-one who does as they do not charge ATM fees as long as you use an ATM within their network (which is everywhere!!)), but Citizen's Bank does participate in the SUM network.

If you're going to be on the north shore, there is also the Bank North (supposedly high in the customer service and low in the fees, but I'm on the south shore, so I don't use them....).

Any other ideas as to what particular area you'll be in? We can get some less than broader answers if you already know in advance! :)

I'll be in the Brookline/Jamaica Plain/Longwood area. Good heads up on the Fleet situation...thanks!

What's the SUM network? (pardon my ignorance).
