Won't be able to make the OSU faire this year.....anyone going to the one in Roswell? My rogue and I will be there at least one day (May 22-23).

Anyway, how many faires ARE there in Ohio now? And is there anything in December? I'm usually out there at least once a year to see Over the Rhine at the Emery or Taft, and I have a bunch of friends there.

Big faires or little faires? :) There are three big faires, Great lakes (never been there), Freemont (small) and ORen (big and commercially). Then Ravenwood castle has a weekend faire in May I think, OSU has their the first Saturday of may, Cambridge Ohio used to have a tiny weekend one, BFHI has something in June this year, and there were a couple of celtic/ ren/ psycic faires in dayton last year. And Baycrafters which I know nothing about.
As for winter, OSU usually has a madrigal thing but that is all I know about it...

We technically live in Michigan (Dundee, near the Ohio border), but GLMF is our home faire... we "spraddle" the OH and MI faires. ;)

Yeah, I'm in the Cleveland area. I'm one of the officers at GLMF, but I get around. Tee hee... There is lots of us here in OH, but many of us travel. A lot.

Cambridge Ohio used to have a tiny weekend one

They still have it....the wenches of local 9 3/4 will be there this year, IIRC it is the weekend of September 18-19

Yes, yes, yes..... please.... come one and all to Cambridge this weekend. We have been given full reign to do as we please (well, as long as it's legal...). Walks, musical men, drop the hanky, and plenty of rogueling to be had for everyone!!! And another thing... it has FREE admission!!!! Cambridge City Park, the corner of N. 8th St. and Edgeworth Ave. See y'all then!!

Count me as an Ohio wench.. just east of Cincinnati, though this year for OBVIOUS *looking down at my much expanding tummy where my little wench to be is apparently doing the wave or something* reasons we have not attended much and I am sure the first few years having this little girl might affect some of our faire attendance.

I still can't believe we have only been to ORF once this season.. and while I miss it, I have my handsome man with me... and he is enough for me right now... (oh god what happened to me.. you fall in love and suddenly you change?? lol)

OH!! and there is the Ashville Viking Festival... was wonderful last year though small (but an incredible first year because this is run by faire people!)

Just south of Columbus and in 2005 it will be the last weekend in April....
