Thought I'd move this discussion here... it seemed appropriate... see p. 4 of the discussion in the Hussie's Hangout for reference

Daelyn, Sorry for the mispelling...I'm on a lot of drugs right now (prescription)

Colors - AGAIN - this will need to come in after the vote is over...so without getting in too far over my head might I suggest red, white and green...colors of holly and the colors of the Wings together...such a sweet mix =)

Again - I am just writing this now, so as not to forget my suggestion later. I don't see the harm if people have ideas as to writing them now, and then the M & V/M picking up where it leaves off...

:D

This is a better place for this discussion.

The chapter doesn't have official colors. Blue, for all the water, should absolutely be included (in my opinion, anyway). Of course, many of us have individual color combos... mine are usually 2 shades of green (never kelly or mint though), etc. (there's a dbase on the yahoo group site). But there is just no way to avoid using a color someone else uses... the cheap-o ribbon only comes in so many colors! We can try to come up with a new combo. Or, we can look for a little pricier ribbon and take up a collection or use some guild funds. That would, of course, be up to the new administration!

Someone suggested gray... not bad, considering the schizophrenic weather here. White for the snow, blue for the water, gray too? I figure we have to wait until the elections are over, then let the new Madame & VM take the lead. We need to determine if people want to wear ribbons attached to their pins (a base for honor ribbons is a necessity at the very least), then pick colors, and work out funding.

Official or not, I don't mind wearing something to designate me as someone a newbie or visitor can come up to, and I'll bet there are several other wenches who feel the same. When I was Dame, I wore a freaking name tag, so this is even easier.

I thought of black and white for our colors.

now, it sounds strange, but my thinking was 'from black to white' as in, from one extreme to the other....cause we're wenches of ALL flavors.

or perhaps brown and pea green...as in: from soup to nuts.

maybe it's time for me to head off to bed. My ideas are getting loopier by the mintue...

nite gals!

I like the idea of "local colors" as well. I don't have any suggestions, will try and think of some for when elections are over.
